Been fighting asking this question for a while but does anyone know what desk(s) Rich had in Lannerlog or Clissold? My reasons for asking are two fold: 1. I'm an insufferable turbo nerd and fanatic 2. I need a new desk and want to know as a type of anti-GAS reality check. I'm pretty sure the mixers weren't that fancy and I love those records to bits. Therefore hopefully inspiring me to stop looking at mixers I can't afford or fit in my room. Cheers Bobby x

Don't think a date has been announced but WHP season is usually the last few months of the year. The coords given look to be in Mayfield Depot rather than the old WHP site under Piccadilly.

It's been four and a half years since release and I just cannot get this album to click. What the fuck is it? Every Aphex release was an immediate classic for me, full of fucking magic I'd never found anywhere else, or never have since. Aphex Twin is just the best of best for me, absolutely untouchable, completely reliable, then out of nowhere Syro comes along and I just think it's awful. I hate every second of it and I don't understand why. I've always thought that if I could figure out why I loathe it so much maybe I'd find the best Aphex album lurking past my blindness but I don't know. I just don't understand how an artist who's blown my mind over and over and ove…

does anyone know where the flanged psychedelic-sounding sample that pops up in the middle of isopropophlex and in the come to daddy video comes from? have been wondering this for longtime but have found no answers.

Knew of the "Richard's Haircut" remix and all, but this tidbit was news to me: https://www.stereogum.com/2065648/beck-discusses-failing-to-get-aphex-twin-to-produce-him-in-the-90s-and-denying-dumb-and-dumber-loser-for-its-theme-song/news/ RDJ certainly was hit up often for remixes and collaborations, can't help but wonder if that's partly why he ramped up his eccentric reputation in interviews.

Just read this on discogs : Everyone who owns this binder, take all of your 12s out of it and just put them in paper jackets and sleeves. The poly sleeves they come in, once again, mess the records all up making them all foggy and noisy (referring to the original Caustic Window Compilation poly triple fold out sleeve that did the same thing). Sorry Rephlex, you just have bad luck w/ polyvinyl sleeves. Now stay far far away from them. Paper and cardboard for the rest of your days please. Is that true ?

do you guys know if he's featured the dulcimer in any other tracks? Also anyone have any suggestions of music that complement that particular vibe (intensity/dulcimer action)? Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk

I got to thinking how many great tracks make up Richard's Analogue Bubblebath series, over the 5 official releases, the ABB 5 test pressing, and the tracks on the SoundCloud Dump identified as ABB6, and wondered - which release overall is the best? If you haven't heard any in recent times, you need to reacquaint yourself with them - there are some superb tracks! Some of my personal faves: What are some of your favourites?

I’m sure it’s been discussed somewhere, I just can’t find it... There are obvious similarities between parts in at least two tracks on Chaos A.D. Buzz Caner and I Care Because You Do: Chaos A.D. ‘Friend Track’ contains the same drum loop as ‘Cow Cud is a Twin’ - seems the track name would be the obvious clue here Chaos A.D. ‘Dreaded Pestilence’ uses a nearly identical sound (harsh feedback resonant filter lfo fart) to ‘Ventolin’ - I have never heard this sound anywhere else. Does anyone have details, ie did anyone ever confirm/admit that RDJ contributed on Buzz Caner and/or borrowed material from it for ICBYD or vice versa?

The agency that created an interactive installation for the Collapse release did a walk through of how the project was created and executed. Pretty cool to see the design and tooling behind the scenes. RDJ had sent them samples to work with but apparently Warp thought it was "off brand" so it was changed out last minute to use clips from the Collapse songs.
