Hello community! A few months ago I bought the promo vinyl of the original version of Selected Ambient Works 85-92 in VG+ (almost NM condition). the source seems to be legit and I don't think, that it is a fake. The matrix info is correct and written by hand, which could indicate that is might even have been a test press. Does someone of you have this version as well? Does someone know how many exist? Samplebrain chops samples up into a 'brain' of interconnected small sections called blocks which are connected into a network by similarity. It processes a target sample, chopping it up into blocks in the same way, and tries to match each block with one in its brain to play in realtime. This allows you to interpret a sound with a different one. As we worked on it (during 2015 and 2016) we gradually added more and more tweakable parameters until it became slightly out of control.

It seems like all of his fast bpm stuff drill and others are all done on the computer with trackers. Thoughts? Like almost the majority of his music, at least more than half is done with trackers. I wonder what he's using. Probably renoise.

My interest in Nekojiru's work was what led me to listening to Aphex Twin. I was writing a longer post earlier outlining the work of Nekojiru but I decided to strip down to the bare essentials of her connection with Aphex Twin in the interest of keeping things on topic (but still quite indulgent). Since I started my intrest in Aphex Twin I have seen 3 advertisments containing music by AFX himself: "One Hour Photo" Channel 4 film trailer (Schottkey 7th Path) A Car Advert (I forgot the brand) [shiny metal rods] Channel 4 trailer which I forgot the programme (Thw Waxen Pith) If anyone else sees or hears Aphex Twin music on TV programmes or adverts it would be apreciated that it be posted here. as much as I love almost all of rdj's output these 2 eps have never done it for me. am I the only one? they both are kind of wishy washy midtempo whatevers (though I do like the probus and marazanvose mixes a bit).
