Rich has recently released 7 tracks with OMC near the end of their titles, the 3 recent soundclowns and the 4 alternate mastered tracks on BBLREP. We already know that those 4 are mastered/processed on old Analogue hardware. This begs the question is he mastering more than just the Mt Fuji tape? Can we expect it to be added to his website and we will maybe get the mastered soundcYolown files even though that section was removed from the site?

http://forum.watmm.com/topic/11144-q-chasticmelodies-from-mars/ in one of the most historical threads in WATMM-history, they were talking about an unreleased track by 'the rave colonel' (possibly another aphex-alias), called "K7AC1D" that "It is supposed to have 5 TB-303's overlaid on top of each other creating some very dynamic and original acid sounds. The only people with copies are Grant Wilson Claridge, Aphex, Cylob and MuZiq (I even had a little chat with Mike Paradinas about this a few years ago and he told me that he's got 5 copies in his garage and he's not ever letting them see the light of day apart from maybe very occasionally playing it in a DJ set)." (q…

Hey, does anyone know anything about this gig? I know there's the one clip floating around where AFX - .942937 is played, but there seems to be no indication of whether this was a live gig or a DJ set, or what exactly "Live Time" means. Any additional information would be extremely helpful. (Also, hi WATMM! Nice to see y'all and to be here. Can anyone help me with using the downloads? Every time I try to download something, it comes in at 0 bytes)

a companion to the "least favourite aphex song" thread. scenario: you are RDJ. the new album is about to drop, but the big men at the top are forcing you to include one extra bonus track, for some mega-exclusive limited edition which is so expensive no-one will even hear it. so instead of a good track, you choose something so terrible, so hilariously bad and anti-climatic that not a single rich bastard owner of the box set would be impressed. there are many different strategies you could use. we could look at some of the pranks richard himself has done in the past - there's the "Aphex Airlines" track, which happened after Virgin commissioned a fluffy ambient tra…

I’m just curious what importance, if any really, people place on their first listen of brand new Aphex Twin material? Does the sound quality matter? What about the setting? I’m finding lately that with any musicians that I really like I try to wait until I have a high quality format of the music, some good headphones or speakers, but most importantly I like to be outside in nature on the mountain bike, on a hike, or a road trip, and most preferably somewhere new. I’ve definitely done my fair share of just F5ing until the shittiest rip becomes available and relistening multiple times over but kinda regret it. As far as situations I definitely do NOT want…

This has obviously been posted elsewhere, but I just wanted to make a highlighted post about it. What a lovely track / segment. I really crave hearing the full thing in it's full glory.

I read that somewhere - maybe here, I don't know. (I'm new here (hi)) If that is in fact true, which songs from this commercially-released album were sourced from mp3s? That sounds incredibly lazy and I find it very hard to believe. Was that just a rumor?

These files have been sitting on a CD for 20 years now, and I brought this up once back in 2013, but since I have never been able to positively identify the artist(s) behind these tracks, thought time to give it one more try. If you were on this forum before the crash in 2005, there was one day when a user named "RJD" with a radiation symbol as their user icon, claimed to possibly be Richard, and something like - he was backstage at some event killing time and decided to chat with WATMM, and then began posting links to random mp3 tracks. Does anyone else remember this, that's still around? I asked Joyrex about it in 2015, and if I recall, we both had a somewhat fuzzy memo…

I wasn't originally planning on doing this, but I really like the album art for Blackbox Life Recorder and the more I looked at it the more I wanted to see if I could recreate it like I did with the Collapse artwork. I came up with something that I thought was half decent and I would be remiss if I did not share it with fellow fans in case at least one person might want to use it. Just like the Collapse template, I've made it so that you can upload any image that you want and it will automatically adhere to the 3d cube (just make sure the image is a square, otherwise it will be stretched). This template unfortunately uses the more resource-intensive rendering engine …

I probably listened to my vinyl copy of Come To Daddy about 50+ times before I realized it was a 45rpm record, and not a 33". Turns out I had been torturing myself to an extended, 6 minute version of "Come to Daddy (Pappy mix)" for no reason at all. After years of playing it wrong, I finally bumped up to 45" and now it's like a brand new fucking record. "IIIII WWAAANNTTT YOUUUURRR SOOOULLLLLL" sounds a lot better than "IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII WWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNTTTTTTTT YYYYOOOOOOOUUUUUUURRRRRRRRR SSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUULLLLLL." What Aphex Twin releases have you flat out mis-heard repeatedly?
