Daaaaammn, this is so good, in content and recording quality. Almost soundboard quality, very minimal crowd noise. Incredible. In case anyone else is as late to this party as I am it's on The Internet Archive but I can't post a link here.

holy shit have we made it this far already? I'm super excited about this week because there have been times I have thoroughly enjoyed Confield, but I never tend to put it on when I want to hear some Ae, so hopefully this week will change that. Go!

So in 2020, during the early months of the pandemic lockdown, I am aware Ae (or mainly Sean?) was interacting quite extensively with fans. I wasn't involved in watmm at the time so I missed out on a lot of that, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to find all those bits, and have a summary of all that happened. It seems this stuff is scattered over various threads which are buried in the subforum. And I'm aware that some youtube channels out there are hosting some of the material. My request for the dedicated Ae subforum-ers who were around at the time is this: Can we put together all the material from this period in one thread? Who was around and …

Perlence Tracks 1 2
by NI64- 29 replies

Been listening to all the Quaristice-era tracks a lot over the past few weeks, and I finally feel like I've dedicated a proper amount of time to really analyze all of the different versions of Perlence. It really is fascinating to find all the little differences - we've never had a single set of ideas explored as thoroughly in any of their music before, or since (Though 90101 comes close). At any rate, after having compared them all for a while I think I've come up with a fairly definitive playlist order for listening to them. Kind of begins from the basic, superficial level of the tracks and slowly descends deeper into the individual sounds. Anyway, the way I've been lis…

hello all ! for every one on earth who would go to one of AE live in france (Rennes @ antipode , and Paris @trianon) If somehow I can help anyone anyway for something, let me know !! I'l be on the Rennes gig (7 april 2024). but can also maybe help those going on the Paris show. If someone needs an accomodation trough their way, around 5-9 april 2024 I can offer hospitality in Orleans (center of france, 120 km to Paris, 310 km to Rennes). either at my home, or at some friend's if extra space is needed. and I can take somes in my car for the the Orleans - Rennes run (back and forth) . right now I'm planning to go with one friend with one car…

With recent albums SIGN and PLUS you can clearly hear the big difference in sounds, textures and composing style compared to Incunabula, Amber and their Lego Feet stuff. Older releases are almost Pop album for the kindergarten compared to the very deep soundscapes in OneSix and all of their Live material, NTS and Elseq. Even Rob and Sean thinks their old stuff sounds a bit "cheesy" but this of course in a positive manner. What happen if you can take all this elements of Autechre and blend it to one piece? The answer is: Rae With Rae filled with crunchy beats, abstract noises and a beautiful FM chord progession just blasting off in your face with nothing…

Dear IDM/Braindance lovers, I come toward you with a request/project: **tracklisting the Disengage radio set from Gescom!** Disengage mixes were radio shows hosted by UK Autechre’s radio Kiss 102, and broadcasted between 4am-6am around 1994-1996. Here, I am particularly interested in the one from Gescom. If you have never heard (about) it, I highly recommend you take a look, it is a pure mine of gemmes! And because of that, I need you to help me finding the names of the tracks ? In the following, I list the (supposed) tracks times. I already completed every ones that I know or Shazam-ed. Those are written as “time - track name - artist”. So fell free to…

PEN EXPERS 1 2 3

OK, before I begin, yes, I bought Confield and, yes, it has been lying around for a while. I was listening to music, as per usual, with the Shuffle switched on. And all of a sudden, Pen Expers hit be at full blast. I was suddenly thrown into a world of percussion, like the Richard D. James album, but with even less consideration to the listener. I kept listening, if not out of curiosity, to Pen Expers. And then the melody started kicking in, a sonic blast of melody that you could only see for a millisecond at a time. And, as it progressed, I was perfectly still. Pen Expers. It was like seeing a bright light shine through a huge grid of iron, comprising ever…
