I think this is my favorite Autechre album. It's a strange feeling, because this was the first AE record I heard. I was like 10 years old and I listened to "Dael" after downloading it and "Clipper" on Napster. I didn't like it at the time [i would have preferred to listen to the Power Pill remix over and over. and the Mortal Kombat theme]. A few years later, as a teen, I discovered Confield. And I think that was when I REALLY started to obsess over this group. All along I would return to Tri Repetae, but I found it lacking and dull in comparison with most of their other work. I mean, I liked it - I liked ALL Autechre to some degree. But it wasn't as fun to listen …

So I've been lying in bed with a completely fucked body thanks to covid for the past 18 months and I've spent the time listening through to the many, many hundreds of Doctor Who audio adventures created by Big Finish Productions. Lots of them are good. A lot more are mediocre. Some are terrible. But the real thing I've gathered is how interesting many of them are, especially the nerdy creative decisions that went into them. Anyway, there's a fairly dark and violent Seventh Doctor story called Red, written by Stewart Sheargold and starring, among others, Sandi Toksvig. Why am I writing this here? Well, I will just post the cast list below as way of an explanation. …

Does anyone happen to have the lyrics to this wonderful song? Some of it is clear enough to make out, but a lot of the lyrics toward the beginning I can't quite make out. I've had this track for years and years and have wondered. Only thought of it now to ask WATMM as I was listening to it today. EDIT: Figured i'd link the video. [youtubehd]_1bTis9ee3U[/youtubehd]

Please name a flaw in this remix and elaborate on why you feel like it's a flaw. Be objective as possible. I truly want to know.

I always thought of this as an inconsistant progression between the manic sterile sounds of LP5 and the organic weirdness of Confield. However, I dug this out again this week and have been playing it a lot, and I have grown to love it a lot. I always thought a handful of tracks were great, especially the last 4, but now tracks like Squeller, Left Blank, and Liccflii have really grown on me. The only track I still don't like is Outpt, which starts off interesting but is too repetitve and goes on too long to hold my interest. Autechre always surprise me by keeping up with my tastes years down the line!

Hello! My name is Splitradix and I am a lifelong Autechre fan. (PS who do I pay to change my username) I live in Dublin and Autechre are playing a gig here in October in Vicar Street. The tickets cost €46.15 (40+unavoidable online ticketmaster fee). I've been digging through my archives of Autechre gigs I have attended (or ones in Dublin I missed) and how much they cost over the years and have compiled a little list of them (link below). I have a funny feeling in the back of my mind that this upcoming Dublin gig might be one of the most expensive Autechre ticket prices ever, so far, in the history of the planet. I would love to hear from other people who have at…

First off, the former is perhaps easy to write off as filler (though at times it calls to mind parts of VI Scose Poise with a bit of imagination), a nothing of an interlude, as it lies between fan favourites Perlence and Simmm. You could call it a little segue onto the second side of the first LP (if you have the 2xLP version). Not too too much going on, really. Feels more of a reprise of its' counterpart than the corresponding cut does an extension of it, if you ask me. However, the latter, expanded version found on the limited Quaristice (versions), is a tasty treat which is nice to see the presence of among its cohort although I always find myself wishing it were …

Just a random brainstorming shitpost thread for what seems likely given interview mentions and stuff. They can apparently "create an album in realtime". This implies some really slick interface where they can modify parameters and maybe modify the way in which parameters modify other parameters because there is way too much stuff going on for everything to be manually handled by them at once obviously But how much is manually sequenced ahead of time by hand, how much is sequenced in realtime through hitting physical pads, how much is triggered by other events? Is anything triggered by really abstract events? Some speculations of mine are that there is an…

I apologize that this is a kind of useless / spammy thread that probably doesn't deserve your attention, but I'm very excited for this Spotify glitch that emerged yesterday while listening to my Autechere complete discography playlist.
