Who here has all of the equipment to be able to replicate the AE LIVE 08 set? Please post your results asap! I cannot cope with short youtube video clips of either the wrong tempo, wrong length of the set or someone only having one of the elektrons rather than both! Thank you!

So I was listening to a bunch of Gescom songs I hunted down one day in a fit of OCD. I've only recently been able to appreciate some of the stuff I got then just for the sake of having- and was wondering if there is anything else floating around out there I missed. So far I gots: Originals- G1, Bronchusix, Snorkel, Tony LeMesmer, Skfl2, Peel XYZdub, Two Of, Stoop, Untitled, Viral, Leritue (Gibber Mix), Around Absolute Zero, PN-1.3.15, YXJ440M Remixes- Itiso161/ae, Boogie Down Bronx, Non-Existant, Phonok, Eddy Fresh Remix / Dub and I remember seeing something about a song called "Digs and Vhosh" but could never find it. Also... DARRELL FITTON GET YOUR ASS…

this needs its own thread. literally the heart of the machine. the extreme of this vs all end is just incomprehensible. woodpecker ae. this track has it all. the sound is just splattered all over the place. top tier all the way. 30 years in and they are hitting another stride.

I see some American music lads have started an Ae podcast. It's not bad, they seem fairly knowledgeable, I've listened to first two on Incunabula and Amber. Now, I don't think it's music that leans heavily towards discussing what it sounds like particularly well and they seem a bit reliant on American critique like Pitchfork but thought it might appeal to some of you. Just to be clear I have no personal involvement in this. https://directory.libsyn.com/shows/view/id/gonkcastpod

chillin' under the sun listening to untilted liveset ? ...quite unsusal, as they usually play in the dark. I saw another youtube short video of another ae live in daylight (from early 2000 era) , bt I can't find it back now. ps : I made a bit of search trough the autechre topics, surprisingly it seems this had not been posted yet on the forum, (if I'm wrong , sorry for the re-post )

Anything yet? What about Oct 13 2016 / Skaņu Mežs Festival 2016 at Mūzikas Nams Daile / Latvia? Any one did a recording?

I brought up this thought in the dedicAtEd thread for Untilted but I think it is an interesting enough idea generally speaking. Here's the alternate order I came up with for their 2005 offering, Fermium is not removed because I dislike the song but because it feels like the odd one out. This is just my first attempt at this and I don't think I have a better sequence than S and R (fucking love this album the way it is as it is), but it is fun to try rejigger things a bit and see if there are some nice ways of changing the sequencing, just for fun 1. LCC 2. The Trees 3. Augmatic Disport 4. Ipacial Section 5. Iera 6. Pro Radii 7. Sublimit Here's what a…

Greetings, just listening to these sets is making me recall my origins with these masters of sound. My first experience with these Ae guys was back in 2000 and my mates brothers vinyl collection, I used to steal 'em and copy to TDK C90 and then slip em back before he noticed. It was LP5, white case and hardly any text. There was something weird about it, there was no credits or anything on the vinyl case, just music. The rest is history. I met my mates brother recently when I was back in my home town and told him how he was the one who set me off on Ae obsession. He's now into indie rock and being a good husband. I was like ''Dawg, you've gone lame, give me your record c…

My report and proof that this is an amazing AE album just like the rest of their music So i had this album a couple of weeks and it did nothing with me, i thought is was so cold, very straight forward and minimal, i thought to myself i could never get into this cause there wasn't anything. Then i took some shrooms with my wife and shoved this monster in my stereo here is my/our experience! Warning, badass trip! :wtf: Track 1! Instantly crawles up your spine! We were watching figure skating on eurosport and it was just perfect with this track, rotations and loops and the constant agressive chopping of blades in the ice going back and forward, this is what this t…

Last week I finished and published on the web an unofficial video for plyPhon, song taken from last Autechre release The video is deeply synchronized with music and any visual element is connected to a sound event. In fact, beside the video impact, you can consider it as some kind of virtual score. This is a kind of visual language I like very much and I would like to explore in future works Watch the hq version at Youtube Any comment greatly appreciated

Now I have made the ultimate AE playlist with almost everything released. Not gonna listen to youtube-quality bad recordings of live shows ofc but around 100 hours of Autechre material.. From Lego Feet MC-202 TR-606 patterns to their first big hit Incunabula straight into ambience with Amber, ANTI EP and the beast TRI REP and end everything with SIGN-PLUS. This gonna take a long time but I while sleep in between ofc. My goal is to find the sweet spot of their era! I want to find the ultimate golden sound sculptures they manage to do. But first: WHAT AE ERA WAS YOUR FAVOURITE AND WHY? Im asking this questions because i want to pay more attention to your thought…

god damn, it's so good. it's a bit melodic in the way that draft/untilted/confield are melodic, except with more straightforward beats. i wonder if some of the people who dislike recent autechre would be more into something like this? i've been changing the speed a lot on this one. on my copy the track seems locked after ISS:SA (or maybe using science they inserted a gigantic silent gap without taking up space on the record whoa), so i have to pick the needle up and go to track 2 of side A. anyway the density of of the tracks looked so much different that i tried playing Tangle Ill at 45, and it sounded plausible that maybe it's intended to be played this way, al…

Question to anyone who has NTS 4 on vinyl. How is this track split into three separate tracks and two separate plates if I'm not mistaken? I'm really tempted to buy a copy but I'm concerned about this compromised continuity of all end. Thoughts?

I always thought that the melody that kicks in around 3 minutes sounded like someone rapping with a shit load of filters on it. Well, after having my playlist on random, this song and a Beastie Boys song were on back to back and I noticed the "rap" portion of Milk DX sounds exactly like a muffled Mike D. The inflection and style are very similar. Then I noticed that the title Milk DX and the name Mike D are extremely similar, and I know ae love to mess around with words. Maybe I'm just doing too many drugs though...

It's been 3 years since the re release of Incunabula / Amber / Tri repetae, will we ever get the rest of the discography ? It's hard to understand the logic with warp, wouldn't it be an instant cash grab ? (same thing with some Aphex LPs and EPs) Maybe vinyl is a thing of the past ?
