Sure this topic has been run into the ground, but it's not like this subforum has to adhere to the same stringent standard of thread quality as general banter (snicker). I figure the least Mike and Marcus could do now, after spending so much time in TCH interviews specifically debunking the "BoC myth," is release their older work. If you're going to shatter the fan's little BoC dreamworld, at least give them something in return. If M&M don't want to be regarded as reclusive gods, why not release everything in their back catalog in the interest of "full disclosure"? I know there's a potential issue with the samples, but I don't think that's an insurmountable probl…

BOC VIDEO *unofficial* I made if for a WATMM competition back in 2002 I think was a runner up in it, BOC judged the videos them selves! Check it out on my company’s website www.laysick.com then go the "good stuff" there is also a "prefuse 73" vid for Point to B! I used to be an Inferno artist (don't do it any more) so did it on an Inferno in down time over a couple of days! Tell me what you think. Sam

ive recieved this track from a contact from hexagon sun in an unnamed irc chat room... they have told me this is from a cassette tape they have released pre-1992, when they weren't strictly electronic artists... pretty interesting stuff IMHO http://www.kidfortoday.com/johnny/mjh.mp3

Yesterday someone posted a cryptic thread entitled "boc video" on the That Other Site™ board, which was in fact a link to an mp3 entitled "remmy kid" - one of those never-before-heard tracks off of play by numbers. Could've been a fake, could've been - the real deal? Now That Other Site™ isn't loading for me, coincidence, or no?

BOC worth seeing live? 1 2

So... and for those of you who are also West Coast US... at Coachella festival this year, BOC is performing. I don't really care that much about the other acts (although Roxy Music with Brian Eno is on the bill). Who has seen BOC live? Trying to decide if I should bother...

not a raging blizzard, mind you, but flakes that are falling more or less straight down . . . but lots of them. you get the insulated feeling which is only heightened by a boc tune like the one on TCH near the end . . . the last track with beats on it i believe. i felt safe, alive, mothered . . . like a tiny little submarine inching along, slow motion, through leagues of amniotic fluid. indeed the music and the snow together provided a tone of curiosity and discovery, a newness smacking of birth, which i found quite poignant driving by the neighborhood street corner inhabited by Planned Parenthood and the man that usually stands in protest with a giant poster of an ult…

Just before the watmm board went down last year, I posted a thread asking for the names of any musicians out there that produce similar soundscapey records at thhis track. I think it was easterlingman (or someone else), who replied with a good list of names, but I never got the chance to get them as the board went down. Can anyone throw any recommendations my way at all? Any suggestions for artists are greatly received.

I think this has to be one of their best works, really beautiful, really nostalgic. Certainly the best from Old Tunes Vol.1 and Vol.2. Their 'fill in' tracks are so lovely.

Well, basically it's all about this. Or is it better to not have a comments section on TCH because BoC clearly stated in the recent interviews that there ain't much hidden secrets in their latest album? I'm a bit puzzled here...

well, exams are over, ergo i have lots of extra time on my hands ... and so here's another mix, which (like the 99 minute electronic music one) i'd been meaning to make for a while. i realize that with BoC, especially, the 'best of' is very subjective, and so hopefully my favorite tracks happen to coincide with most of the fan favorite type tracks. again, the crossfading is generally pretty good, i think, but certainly not like uber-dj-quality or whatever, as i'm still almost entirely unexperienced with this sort of thing. also i managed to keep it under 80 minutes (the mix is 78:30) this time, per the requests regarding the last mix ... well, i hope someone finds it w…

Does anyone know, or know how to find out, if the 'Geogaddi' (Japanese edition CD) listed on the HMV.co.jp website, contains the track 'From One Source All Things Depend' because it's not listed, but it is the Japanese edition on the 'Beat Records' label. >> http://www.hmv.co.jp/product/detail.asp?sku=240926 If anyone could tell me or find out for me I would be very, very greatful. I've already tried e-mailing HMV, but no reply The e-mail I sent is below. Hi, I’m a huge ‘Boards of Canada’ fan and I would like to buy a copy of this Geogaddi (Japanese edition CD) but I was of the understanding that the Japanese edition of the album include…
