  1. whenever you get some of the songs recorded PM them to me and i'll add the music to various pornography videos and upload them across the internet (in appropriate pornographic areas of course) and this will help you become popular, famous, and above all associated with lots of sex.

  4. You don't need to find it, I got it on DVD last year (EDIT: actually it was more like two years ago but whatever), I've got to go to work but send me a PM to remind me an I'll hook you up later tonight. The original soundtrack is some excellent dark musique concrete by his wife, too. He did a feature film but the company that distributes it screwed up and sent me two copies of the short films instead of one of each and shipping it back to the UK would cost more than the refund I'd get so I jsut gave the second copy to a friend....

  5. Yeah, was thinking about responding to this as well. This idea that larger trading blocs wont work, seems related to the direction the US currently actively seems to pursue with respect to their negative views of the WTO. Which, in a way is a bloc to defend economic rights. Without jumping into the deep end here, the danger is that the world economy returns back to a place where economic rights are defined by those with economic power. And the smaller economies will suffer when they can't form blocs, or if the WTO stops existing, for example. I find it ironical that all the instituti

  6. RE the poll in this thread. I can’t delete my choice like in other watmm polls. I put mine as conservative as a joke. Sorry

  7. What’s actually going to happen is you’ll get bent over by larger economies. The EU has an economy similar in size to the US and China, which allows it to bargain on more equal terms, as well as taking into account the ability to produce goods in a system that takes advantage of economies of scale. The UK has none of that. also big lol at faster decision-making, given how long the whole brexit deal has taken. Just to be clear, I understand this is not your argument @BCM

  8. here's an example of the cool overdriven reverbed fretless bass thing i was mentioning. this is just an off the cuff recording from my phone of me and my friend fucking about after a legit rehearsal. me trying to learn how to use the damned loop pedal. but like there are elements just in this bullshit recording that i can see being translated into this scheme of mine.

  9. I never actually fell in love with Sonic Youth (I know you're not supposed to say that but it's true - I even saw them live in 2002 and it was kind of dull) but I love Neubauten, and there's one Sonic Youth song I can't get enough of: For that era I always leaned more toward the American Southwest, though.

  11. Yeah, but between the RTR name and the clear remix/ripoff of Vorhosbn (see track previews), it seems like they are really trying to push the Steinvord vibe. Are they just having a laugh at our expense? Seems so.

  13. This is really good. It really feels ahead of the curve in comparison to artists that make similar/recent stuff like this. None of the drum programming feels forced or out of place and is executed in a way that sounds GOOD from somebody who is clearly a master of their craft. Sounds godly on headphones too. The synths all sound awesome. Melodically it's good but not in a "this is catchy I'm going to hum this to myself in my head" kind of way, but also not shallow or bad or any way, SQUIGYCID's melody is tops and the other tracks serve their purpose, I only bring this up because...

  14. The footage used for that video is astounding. Gonna have to find "La Femme qui se Poudre" now. It's like the live action version of Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. ... which was apparently turned into a live action movie this year - wtf.

  15. financial transaction tax, wealth tax, carbon tax, universal basic services (free at the point of service), the gradual de-moneyization and de-commodification of our social infrastructure, our public commons, our society's physical constituencies, worker control of the means of production and of their own workplace, democratically based on a true meritocracy, gift economy where each gives as much as they can and gets in return what they need, and luxuries are a part of that once we reach sufficient post-scarcity but more importantly a decreasing of appetite for "things" which were never needed

  20. my question is: what's that direction? is it everyday is a different challenge because mando is moving from one place to another and doing odd jobs? what's the purpose beyond making money (or whatever he earns at the end of each mission)? does he have a specific end goal? i thought the last episode had a lot of action. but again, i'm completely confused as to the point. couldn't he just have bailed on those mercenaries since obviously they were incredibly untrustworthy?

  21. I want to give WeeklyBeats the honest attempt I bungled too quickly in 2018. I'd also like to establish healthier, more sustainable eating and overall consumption habits. This may include quitting alcohol and nicotine but I'm not ready to make an empty commitment to that. I'm considering developing a crippling Eurorack addiction, but so far I've only gazed over the precipice into the dark, bottomless void. GAS already consumes me, but ultimately I'm a coward.

  22. I agree about Korn. I was never in to them but a friend of mine who did a lot of ambient music 5 or 6 years ago turned me on to how interesting the actual guitar techniques on their eay albums are. So I definitely respect them now even though it's not so much my thing, I'm always in to music that walks a line between pop and experimentalism without falling into either side, probably why I like so much first generation psych. Ever hear this one? Industrial black metal with bagpipes from 1969, not even joking.

  24. i can think of a few autechre tracks that are already folksy goodness. i'm thinkin corc, which is basically a wistful stand up bass player and a banjoman with some guy bangin on a box drum. we got known(1) which is a medieval bard's ballad played on a zither and lute and one of those weird flutes that they played with their nose or some shit you got maphive 6.1 which is like the local village's marching band doing a little ditty to honor local fallen comrade Corporal Flep, may he rest in peace. the windchimes represent his spirit that lives among us after the gonk wars. pir

  25. You don't have to build anything to get wealthy. One of the problems is that people figured out it's easier to get rich by being a parasite and liquidating society into your bank account while you galavant around the globe doing blow with the heiress to a plutonium empire on a private jet with it's own jacuzzi full of midgets and panda bears
