Alright, I've hidden a bunch of posts due to several reasons. Let's not talk about that thing, alright? Let me know if I missed anything. And for those who will surely ask what this is all about. Please don't as you won't get an answer as it has to do with personal things that shouldn't be discussed online.7 points

This is one of the most accurate things I’ve ever read about them... “In 2010, Tame Impala committed so hard to being a 1967 psych band that, just like most 1967 psych bands ten years down the road, they’re now a 1977 soft rock band.”7 points

#PSA055 Live on Source FM this Saturday at 22:00 GMT We'll be getting together in the next few days to finalise the tracklist, if any of you knob twiddlers have got some solid rocket fuel in the pipeline and would like to hear it in the mix, please send via [email protected] - we are only interested in fully finished and polished gems of joy that are either forthcoming or released in the month. We listen to over 4000 tracks a month to bring you a mix of our favourite 40 that represent the spacey electronic music of now. We hope you can join us on our flights of discovery.3 points

Prob own more records that this bloke had a hand in than any other artist. Words seem trite, truly gutted. Full Circle & Sabresonic were unparalleled nights out in a sea of paint it by numbers rrrrrave crap. Game changers like Weatherall are so incredibly rare, especially these days. Lord Sabre, a salute to you sir.2 points

I'm kinda one of those weirdos. I'm super picky when I try to find new artists, but when I finally manage to find one, boy, am I on a ride or what. Artists like Kendrick, Sparkwave, Godflesh and recently classic UR output, could listen to those for days. And Aphex is a top cat on that list. Very few meh bits, maybe 50 songs tops, which leaves me with something like 900 songs to like, not a bad rate at all imo. There are some serious stellar work, which no one has even come close by. I'm constantly hungry for more afx. Just when I think he has emptied his...2 points

Why? There's no grand scheme. Most of pre 2000 Richard is just him dicking around with barely any of the method and attention to detail that improves the later stuff. I don't think we heard a single extended chord before Rushup Edge (maybe an overly technical point but you catch my drift). Some of it's really good but a lot is weird novelty listening at best and utterly abrasive crap at its worst.1 point

Insane set by an insane artist. Funnily enough he recently had to change his name to Varg2™ because of a C&D from a German metal band called Varg.1 point

Out today on Limited Edition Cassette. Music For Sleep is Rosh! Records' Andrea Porcu, who's been quite prolific in the last couple of years, releasing some of the best long-form tunes for relaxed activities and, actually, sleeping. Some may come from new age territories, others are more drone-oriented or even in Indian raga style, but overall it's a perfect soundscapes to fill your room and create a relaxed space for your mind and body to rest and re-energize before a new day. On this latest offering, Andrea creates a beautiful lush of nature sounds and gentle synth loops, swirling1 point

They made a Travis Scott bot that writes lyrics and sings like him, posted here with complimentary deepfake video. I can't tell it from the real thing tbh source: https://www.adweek.com/creativity/this-fake-travis-scott-song-was-created-with-ai-generated-lyrics-and-melodies/1 point

I also own these already, but what a E.P, all 4 tracks are superb. I would love some unreleased tracks along these types, from before they became FSOL. Although some where straight up basic rave, tracks like these are a perfect balance of what they became when they turned into FSOL and full on danceable classy rave.1 point

***prepare for irony*** The name Autechre still puzzles fans. It's the shape-shifting meaninglessness, the opennes to pronounciation that keeps us asking for insight on it. There are apokryphal theories, that it's an abbreviation for 'audio technical research', wich it clearly isn't. Why? Because itself get's abbreviated into the most simplistic form of Ae. An abbreviation doesn't used to be abbreviated itself, doesn't it? This abbreviation is there since day one: the release of the debut album Incunabula, boldly stated in huge letters on the cover. Ae represents almost as clear1 point
