  2. Wishful thinking as I have no clue what's planned or not : Melted_Self Autechre : can we ever get enough ae ? that mystrerious Cybotron LP that was supposed to be released in 2020. That 2 minutes long live vid at Dekmantel is banana Barker, 'nuff said. Gabor Lazar : he planned to write a new LP by the end of 2020, and the previews of his new Max patches sounded awesome Rian Treanor, even if I've yet to gel with his last one My 3 very favorite techno producers Rrose, Peter Van Hoesen and Sciahri : nothing announced but they're productive so eh I need some new TCF Anything...

  7. or perhaps it should be printed out and put in a shredder then that material could be compressed in a hard packed ball that could be fired from a musket at trumps head.

  16. Couldn't agree more. One of the classic 90's album, captures a moment in time, and vibe, perfectly. It's their most accomplished album. I would have picked this myself, the drumming across Reggatta de Blanc is... Copeland gets bonus points for writing the Equalizer theme too.

  18. Yeah I miss being young but Bricolage is a much better album IMHO. Maybe doesn't have as much cutting edge sound design or whatever but I reckon Amon is much better at sample collage than making his own stuff. Similar to DJ Shadow in that respect.

  19. Yeah they go into it in the article. Not sustainable in the long run - market saturation etc. Same thing happened in Vancouver, BC. When I was living there, there were 3 dispensaries in like a 5 block radius, and this was in essentially a residential neighbourhood (not in the suburbs, but it was not downtown for sure). I hope they get some regulation in place, otherwise you're going to have people who sell the cheap, adulterated weed running the show. That's either organized crime, big business, or as the meme goes - why not both?

  22. My stash has run out and I've haven't smoked any in a week and my dreams have been so vivid. It seems cannabis suppresses the REM phase of sleep. I dunno if it's a good thing or a bad thing since it's unknown what purpose REM/dreaming has. I guess it must have some use since we are doing it or then it is just an emergent property.

  29. Doesn't really work with annoying pop music for me. Repeated listens will make me just hate it more. If I had to listen to Crazy Frog raping the Axel F for 10.000 times it wouldn't suddenly "click" but more likely I would snap and there would be some kind of murder-suicide thing happening. And with catchy songs it's more like the opposite. If something is really catchy I like it initially but it will wear out really fast. Also the way Autechre clicks with me is not by repeatedly listening to it, but it's more like leaving the whole thing alone for a longer period, like a year, and then...

  30. Although Autechre has been one of my favourite artists for almost 30 years, it hasn't been without bouts of self-doubt and cognitive dissonace. At times listening to the most challenging releases and/or tracks have brought on a crisis of musical identity - do I really like music like this? Why am I listening to something that irritates me? Am I into this only because it's something I've been into for so long that I'm tolerating it because it would be more painful to let go of something that has been an indelible part of my musical environment? Do I listen to things like this because it disturbs others and makes...
