  1. Two years old now, jeez where does time go? I loved it from the start and still love it now. Fantastic album. When do you reckon we can expect a new one? Going off recent output I'm reckoning about 2019
  2. I'm still loving this album. Listened to it for the first time in ages yesterday. Even the tracks I least liked have revealed themselves fully to me.
  3. It appears to be generally a negative reaction to this album which I personally find very surprising. I think TH is a fantastic album and probably my favourite of theirs. It's definitely their most consistent, I love the whole thing (even Jacquard's Causeway which took some time). The Berlin School influence is a key development for me and with the soundtrack emphasis to the fore it's a clear progression from their earlier works. Sundown is still one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard. Incidentally, the "8 years" thing isn't a factor for me as much to my embarrasment I only discovered BoC in 2008. So I only had the 5 years to wait .
  4. Lol! Just buy it from HMV ;-). Best track off the (brilliant) album imho. Wouldn't it be nice if they made it an ep with 3 new tracks. Somehow I doubt it.
  5. I don't know if anybody agrees with this, but I'd say this is BoC's most proggy album, quite a Tangerine Dream influence in the shorter linking tracks and the sequencing particularly. A bit of a Berlin school influence, I'd say. I think the album is a total killer. For me it's their most consistent album, nothing I really dislike (unlike all the other releases where I've tended to dislike the odd piece) and particularly the second half of the album it's monumental tracks one after the other. My favourites are:- 1. Come To Dust 2. Sundown 3. Split Your Infinities 4. Cold Earth 5. Semena Mertvykh Just don't keep us waiting as long next time guys .
  6. I tried to avoid listening to Reach For The Dead, really I did. I wanted to wait and listen to the whole thing, you know another week or two won't hurt after 8 years. I caved in. Reach For The Dead is fantastic, trouser-wettingly fantastic. I can't wait to hear the album. To be honest I think the brothers could have made an album of 65 minutes of whoopee cushion noises and that would have satisfied some people .
  7. A fantastic album, and just about my favourite of theirs too. The section from Sunshine Recorder through to Alpha and Omega, how good is that? Nice thread sirch .
