  1. Guess she must've been quite desperate to use a squirrel for it... She's creative though.
  2. Have been wondering about this for a while, but I thought I heard Jamie Lidell's voice in 'Shin triad' on Squarepusher's third album. He's not credited anywhere for it as far as I can tell. Seeing now that they did a live collab afterwards and that Lidell released music on Spymania, it doesn't seem implausible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G66o_ddSUj0 Perhaps this is common knowledge and I'll for a bit...
  3. Must've been a busy few hours for the thing during the flyby. Either that or it must have a shitty dial up connection out there to take so long :D
  4. Yes, so do I. But how stunning is it to think that back then "scientists" questioned the world around them that had always been the way it was. To question gravity for instance must have been unfathomable at that time. And that's just three centuries ago; Aristarchos of Samos proposed the heliocentric model in ancient Greece, even understanding stars to be other suns at great distances. An idea only proven more than 1500 years later.
  5. It would take a large amount of fuel to slow down in order to be captured into orbit, since Pluto has such a low gravitational pull. Same thing with what they needed to do with Messenger around Mercury. But I guess it also depends on what your objectives are. I would have preferred an orbit as well... They may need a reason to go back in a few years :D
  6. Interesting how dramatic the separation between the light and dark region is. Beautiful image, indeed.
  7. Almost there... The NASA's Eyes simulator is pretty nifty. Gives you a good idea of what goes on during the approach.
  8. The visuals in this video are nice, but the overly dramatic music and voice make it that kind of space documentary corny... The visuals should speak for itself, I think.
  9. Wow. Incredible journalism job there. Complete and utter bullshit. Those tracks are basically what this thread is about. The two hundred tracks are the ones on Soundcloud, not additional ones. Unless you just meant to point out that he (or someone) put them up on Mega... Anyway, the thread is an interesting read. You can 'relive' the excitement WATMM had through the days.
  10. Is this idea being promoted on more platforms than WATMM (since Joyrex is the one to manage the kickstarter)? We need to organize a TEDxWATMM event, people!
  11. lol and the name of the playlist would be: vocal music, the very best of. The fact that number two is missing from this list intrigues me and makes me all expectatious. Will continue to F5 for updates on this here list. No sleep tonight, I guess...
  12. Yes! "...there!...there!...there!...not there, there!" Where?? There!! (and yes, I definitely hear the 'Where?' in there as well) "Look, that's her" Will try listening to all that's being said. Suppose it's from a commercial or a personal video?
  13. Yes! "...there!...there!...there!...not there, there!"
  14. When Pluto was discovered, they thought they had found the mysterious planet X they were looking for. After the discovery of Uranus they saw that the predicted path of the planet was disturbed by the gravity of something else. They calculated were this new object would be and found Neptune. After that they again saw irregularities in this planet's orbit and went looking for another planet further out. Then they spotted Pluto and assumed it was responsible for this effect and called it a planet. It was later revealed that there were no irregularities, but just wrong calculations. Pluto just happened to be passing through the ecliptic around that time. If Pluto was discovered now, with today's technology, it would probably never have been called a planet. All they did was try and categorise these objects after recent discoveries of new 'types' of celestial bodies.
  15. This is too future for me...
  16. Hmm, just checked the episode and he does get shot in the face, or so it seemed. It could have been a nice addition to how long they let that twat live.
