  1. Well, some records (and thus the tracks) are engineered to be played at either speed.
  2. Not Aphex records, but there are two others that I listen to at the "wrong" speed. It's Funkstörung's Funkentstört, which officially plays at 45rpm and Jeswa's Skone, which is 33rpm. Both these speeds feel very wrong to me, and play them at the other speed. I even feel bad for the people who listen to it at the official speeds... (or have the digis)
  3. Think about what we'll be saying 18 years from now. "Aw, man! Remember Blackbox being such a steal back then?"
  4. Yeah, you gotta move around to get the parallax.
  5. The Google drive track is pretty ambient. Would love it even more if it was SAW II style, just the first minute on repeat for all eternity...
  6. It isn't a matter of wanting. It's a matter of needing.
  7. Considering the 2015 SC dump, he is still within a reasonable time frame to release as little (or as much) as he likes, without question from us, IMO
  8. Seeing this artwork, think of how great it might have been for Aphex to team up with Gordon Matta-Clark...
  9. I hope this track gets an ambient treatment as well...
  10. To me, the cover looks like it's from a PS2 game.
  11. Which emulator is this? I use DuckStation. Works great! And is super easy to use.
  12. Probably not, but there have been exceptional catalog numbers that made a jump (Quaristice was #333 when the regular count was around the 150~160 region). Maybe they're doing this one to throw us off the scent. It would be an Aphex thing to do.
  13. Beaumont Hannant - Psi-Onyx remix https://www.discogs.com/release/99513-Beaumont-Hannant-Psi-Onyx Edit: some Djarum sounds in there too, maybe?
  14. I've looked extensively for footage of this set, but found nothing except the interviews mentioned above. Someone should seek out this director Dominique Deluze and ask him if he still has the raw footage that he shot for the documentary. Maybe he recorded the entire set? Otherwise, maybe Sónar keeps archives of all the sets played at the festival? Like with the Oscillate sets that were made available much later.

Wasn't there a music video where a guy jumps off a bridge and the camera does some bullet timey action? Something by Soundgarden or something? Don't remember if this was pre Matrix.
  16. That's possible, but it disappeared from the menu anyway. And now there's the Dublin date.
  17. It doesn't show up in the menu, but the twentytwentytwo overview is back up. https://autechre.warp.net/twentytwentytwo
