  1. Missed out on the CD, pre-ordered the vinyl. Quality album, love the acidy tracks
  2. @Extralife brilliant, glad you got it and found the credit. Darren said he really wanted to mention you and I thought I’d put it under the j-card to be found ?
  3. New EP on Touched Revolutions coming in a couple of months too. Quality stuff again
  4. Excellent. I was hoping you hadn’t just gone with digital*, especially after Darren told me about your involvement. * shipping to the States is expensive now I bet
  5. @Extralife please tell me you got a copy of the tape?
  6. I reckon either Prada objected to them being released or he decided to do a physical release and they'll reappear closer to a release date.
  7. And now the new Prada releases have vanished, was planning on buying them too, hope they come bck
  8. Certainly different to the Rephlex art. These are all JP’s own felt tip illustrations.
  9. Shrug. Stopped listening to them after they left Soma
  10. Yes, Myoptik and all the Ping-disc releases ooze character. Rich has set up a proper Bandcamp for the label now... https://pingdiscs.bandcamp.com this track is great, but so is the whole album https://the-horn.bandcamp.com/track/mouth-so-much-the-horn-shouty-kenneth-remix
  11. Jus to clarify @Extralife, this is coming out on the Ping-discs label but the proceeds are going to Macmillan through Touched
  12. For those interested the Boomkat reviews says "Oh and, over on the flip (vinyl-only), a SOPHIE rarity that for the moment shall remain unnamed."
  13. hmmm, doing nothing for me on first listen. Not familiar with Sophie and don't want to be judging by the original of this, didn't even make it to the end. Also, 3 minutes and 33 seconds long, so why a 12"?
  14. 5 of those with artwork by me, made me smile. Glad someone has mentioned the Paul Heirophant release, love it
  15. I concur @purlieu, I might sneak Pomme Fritz in there too (and FFWD as it’s practically an Orb album)
  16. I’ve not listened to it for a few years but I agree, it’s a lovely album and has a great flow. I usually skip the original and go straight to track 2, Papsico, that’s where it starts for me.
  17. For some reason I hadn’t bothered with Translations, so the change from Dead Cities to The Isness was even more of a shock. (Edit) Regarding Translations, from memory I think at the time it had been a while since Dead Cities and thought they’d lost it by releasing a remix album of their biggest hit and so I didn’t buy it. Big mistake
  18. So for us laymen, now you’ve redone this set you can possibly do another from the same tour?
  19. From my experience in the UK the first AA album wasn’t unknown at all. I remember plenty of music press coverage (NME, Muzak Mag etc) when it came out. But that’s the UK, can’t comment about anywhere else in the world
  20. Just had my first play through, wow oh wow. So amazing to hear this in crystal clear quality. Makes you wonder what we’re missing on other boots. Amazing work by everyone involved
  21. That time the boys soundtracked a mobile phone ad, crazy. I’d forgotten all about this.
  22. Mine has that sticker but I was expecting something very much Fsol anyway, remember the sound of the first AA album?
  23. Some great posts there @purlieu, I also find them fascinating, their 90s output is peerless. I was absolutely gutted when they went quiet after Dead Cities and was really confused then I bought The Isness with no knowledge of what it would sound like. Took me many years to appreciate it although I still struggle with some of tracks, I should really check out the Abbey Road version and see if that works better for me. I’ve always suspected that the more epic moments on the 90s albums was more down to Gaz and that’s why there’s much less of them in the newer stuff. It might also be because the newer stuff is less of a melting pot and more focused on particular themes
