  1. i would for you is one of my go-to tracks at the moment.
  2. no... i think maynard is doing an awesome thing that only he could do by forcing the other three to sit in the studio and refine their stuff. they weren't done: on toolband, blair was talking about how their big song (20+ minutes or something) wasn't completed yet (instrumentally) a few months ago, and in some interview with danny he said the other songs don't take shape until after the big song is done. they take a long ass time to write, and it's cool that maynard is letting them do that, and in the mean time we get the volto album, the nothings matter album, and the puscifer album. if maynard ran in there and gave them an excuse to think "that's good enough," we could be missing out.
  3. i like i came back haunted more in the context of the album "everyone is reminding me \ i am not who i used to be" i think he's talking about threads like these
  4. i've only seen one film by this guy and i found it more a "fanboy" version of crowley's ideas. he's never really appealed to me- but i did watch a documentary on him that i really enjoyed. has some great scenes where he's being driven around los angeles in a limo wearing a full tux looking like a classic weirdo i'm not a huge fan or anything but i appreciate the uncannily dream-like quality his films have. ich will! is kind of different in that sense, it's less abstract and what he's going for seems more obvious. i guess he came across that amazing footage cache and knew he was the only one who would treat it properly, so he did something different.
  5. new(er) kenneth anger film, Ich Will! footage of young Nazis mixed with classical music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6cLZ-fOnhw
  6. Nice work! Number Talk is awesome, it's so weird, yet so great.
  7. this was posted on the tool site: http://www.toolarmy.com/images/news/RJB that's not some RDJ gear, is it??
  8. i've enjoyed every nin album. i've probably enjoyed with teeth the most. maybe not the hand that feeds and the collector that much, but TLBTB and DYKWYA? come on
  9. i like how blair documents the mundane. 100 years from now people will devour that stuff. i'm not aware of blair ever lying. its just that he tells us about stuff in the works and a bunch of those things haven't been completed yet i noticed after my post here that in that last newsletter they posted an image of that catalog that's cropped so that the only album cover shown in its entirety is bethlehem abortion clinic
  10. Yep, I'm still digging the new upload. I like reading all your analysis on all these linpadual videos, very informative I also find it interesting how each video kind-of links to previous ones. Not sure it it's creating an album feel or more like they pick whatever tracks blend together well. I think Steinenvorstat and Red are linked somehow - but See Para sounds like complete different track to me. There is a unique sound that I hear in each upload - so its defintely the same person/s doing each video. It's a shame there is not more discussion on these videos. I'd be interested to see what else people can identify in the tracks! i thought i heard a part in see para that was in steinenvorstadt but actually it's a different part, so you're right about that. you are right about steinenvorstadt and red, too. they have the same percussion pattern, it starts in steinenvorstadt at 52 seconds (when the bomb drops and the beat drops) and it starts at the beginning of the red video. i synced those points up with separate browser tabs to see if the tempos were the same, and not only are the tempos the same, the songs fit together well if u sync them at that point! get steinenvorstadt playing (make sure the autoplay is off if it's playing as part of the playlist), then open red in another tab, and press play a quick beat before the beat drops at 52 seconds of steinenvorstadt.
  11. pic of the catalog with cover art: http://ia601201.s3dns.us.archive.org/mbid-c555ac33-cf09-4155-b74a-4878e63b1620/mbid-c555ac33-cf09-4155-b74a-4878e63b1620-2401906302.jpg
  12. anyone hear of, see, or have "Bethlehem Abortion Clinic," purchased from a store in Europe, most likely Poland? Blair has been giving hints about an "ultimate hidden track" named Problem 8 (The Reimann Hypothesis), recorded around the Aenima period, saying there are about 30 copies out there but that people probably didn't realize or didn't listen, and that's why no one has uploaded it. no one knows exactly what it's 30 copies of, the name or format or anything, but in the latest newsletter is what people think is a further clue about this, that band members might have placed about 30 copies of an album in stores in Europe, mainly in Poland, an album that was named on the joke catalog insert of the Aenima European release. In the november 2000 newsletter Blair said one item on that joke catalog was released in Europe on vinyl, Bethlehem Abortion Clinic. in the december 2001 newsletter he says an item on that catalog is part of some special secret. could be it.
  13. the audio and video work so great together with linpadual, especially in that new one. there's a way to play them all in a playlist, go to the linpadual channel page and click one of the videos under "recent uploads," or click here
  14. i think it's possible it is steinvord and steinvord is pusher twin, however it is difficult to know anything for sure, let alone who made an electronic album. what we know of the steinvords is they choose to jetison ego from the project, which is commendable and awesome. but, since steinvord is a search tag for the steinenvorstadt video, i suppose linpadual invites speculation. in red i hear plucks of midi bass. in sharples i hear an acoustic bass. in a1m i hear pusher drums. all over the stuff i hear twin sensibility.
  15. that one's beautiful. the video picks up where red left off, but i can't tell if the audio is from the same track or not. i'd guess not but it's possible, in which case it really is an epic one. then again i don't know if those three that have common parts (steinenvorstadt, see para, red) are really different segments of one track, i wonder if they are different versions, or selections from various stages in composition. or maybe the project doesn't confine itself to conventional ideas of "songs," leaving the audience to imagine beginnings, endings, and segues. i hope they are previews of full tracks, though.
  16. the album he did with saul williams is good https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJep-kNitUU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77vCx_J9YyQ

  18. this youtube channel has really cool music with great videos. the latest, red, is really good, and it seems like it's the third snippet from an epic song.
