Anyone heard of Mystical Sun? Downloaded his new one [2600]http://earthdance.bandcamp.com/. Only had one listen but it`s top quality stuff, kind of reminded me of FSOL and Roach in places. His previous albums are supposed to be really good as well.
Had a bit of a listen to the new Solar Fields album and that was quality. http://ultimae.bandcamp.com/releases
I`ve always really liked this album, it`s interesting with a lot going on. It stands out and I reckon it`s aged well. Prefer it to UFOrb[but Blue Room is their best track]but I don`t reckon it`s quite as good as the classic and massive Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld.
Module - Imagineering. Beautiful album, possibly my album of the year. 10/10.
Jule Grasz - Earth Feelings. Very nice deep Ambient Electronic album. 8/10
Healer - Wonderground & Higher Grounds. Two good Ambient electronic albums. 8/10.
Introvert - Inner Horizons. Quality Psychedelic Electronica/Techno album. 8/10.
Yeah I`m not quite sure what Psybient is[aside from it being more on the chilled out side of things. Psychedelic Ambient and Dubby]but I`ve stumbled across the artists you`ve mentioned and you`re right it`s just good Electronic music. Anyway cheers for the recommendations.
Adham Shaikh - Journey To The Sun. Classic Ambient/Chillout album from 95. Very dreamlike. 9/10.
Fold - Slowburn. Nice little Dubby, musical and melodic album. 8/10.
Stephen Hummel - Meld. Excellent electronica album from one of my favourite producers/musicians. 9/10.
Yeasayer - Odd Blood. Great little Psychedelic Pop album. 8/10.
Motion Sickness Of Time Travel - S/T - Big, beautiful and cosmic Ambient/Electronic album. 9/10.
Magical, Beautiful - Here Come The Wild Waves. One of my favourites of last year, covers a few genres/styles[Electronic, Prog, Dub, Psychedelic, Eno, Krautrock]. 8 or 9/10.
Pink Floyd - Animals. Might be my favourite Floyd album. 9/10.
KiloWatts - Acceptitude. Brilliant, complex and enjoyable bit of Electronica. 9/10.
I`ve had relisten and a rethink and Quaristice is a good album that stands out[due to the amount of tracks, the lengths, the playfulness and the old school electronic sounds and whatnot mixed in there] and I`d put it above Oversteps, and I`d probably put Untilted above Oversteps as well.
