yeah, the lebron cameo is really one of the most "eye rolling" parts of this film mainly because it panders to the ol' cliche of comedies to pair a nerdy insecure white guy with a cool "isn't that cute that they're friends" black guy who guides and looks out for him. also, this movie isn't funny because the jokes are funny. it's funny because of the delivery- the jokes were pretty elementary and most of the beginning they're predictable, but it's the person chosen to deliver them that kinda makes the joke work. there is though a running gag about a film within the film that features two actors that has a joke that i felt didn't work at all, even though schumer had used the same joke in a sketch that did work. how did that happen?

a movie length version of an amy schumer skit with many "celebrity" guest appearances to eat up the bigger budget even though they're completely unnecessary

i watched 2 episodes and gave up because i realized it was too stupid. even the stuff that's supposed to be subtle and creepy is so heavily emphasized in case anyone with an IQ of 12 is watching and misses it. then i watched the episode where the plot twist is revealed and felt insulted. a woman basically sits 3 kids down and just blurts out the entire plot/backstory. again, wouldn't want anyone to miss anything so at the end they again SPELL OUT EVERYTHING

yeah, I wrote about it in this very thread: Think the season actually starts next week or something. Releasing pilots many weeks before the show starts is annoying. finally watched the pilot. i found it interesting, but it really rips off dexter. will check out the 2nd episode just to see if at the very least, the writing gets a little original

interesting description and also odd that it sounds very very similar to Cannibal Cop a documentary that came out not too long ago, also HBO? maybe we're talking about the same documentary? the full title is thought crimes: the case of the cannibal cop

can you prosecute someone for their thoughts? here is a cop who wants to kidnap a total of 100 women, torture them, kill them, cook them and eat them. he details everything with 2 accomplices (not cops)- they even swear they would do it, but they don't actually do it. are they guilty? their defense: we got fantasies. problem? they were pretty meticulous and detailed in said fantasies. that's the conundrum this documentary is dealing with
