  1. I like how knitted designs resemble pixel art. Ceephax must have realised this.
  2. YJY ~~ http://forum.watmm.com/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_id=26344

  4. Someone nudge those null-points, I'm worried the watermark will shut down Napster.
  5. i'd like him to answer that one, but i could make a very long list if you want me to. This always seems to get me in trouble when i bring up this point because i want to make clear that I'm not faulting the artist or the music itself, it's the label and the promotional arm behind them. Effective marketing is not inherently bad, but it is sort of creepy when marketing becomes so effective that people don't even realize that they are being marketed to in the most literal sense possible. This is in a large part what worries me most about the future of culture, is that people who generate money as their main priority are getting better everyday at making consumers unaware that things they are exposed to are being marketed to them, and the consumer is the target. I would like to take this opportunity to blame one of the biggest culprits, Pitchfork. And in reality they aren't even really to blame, it's that corporate culture and advertising firms have become so influential that even the 'little guy' has learned the art to a T, and by that i mean uncannily emulating the art of corporate marketing. That's why Rephlex is the shining beacon of wholesomeness.
  6. Do you think maybe the Olsen Twins Slowed videos are one of the main origins of this aesthetic (..well for Pizzawave joke-genre it obviously is but I mean for slowed Eccojams in general)?
  7. I'll probably be getting something in the mail Mon/Tues. It's up to you guys if you want me to say anything. FWIW, I'm not trying to brag or anything. I just thought you guys should know that preproduction copies are going out now. I'm just lucky to have this awesome friend who has an awesome job. I realize that the wait it is the hardest part, but the anticipation is also kind of awesome. I'd be in the same spot if it wasn't for this scenario. I would really, really love to hear some impressions as soon as you get the album. Don't worry about the complaints - please just share your perspectives on the new work ahead of the release. :-) yes I would also appreciate this Dittooo It's a vote for not hearing your opinion from me. What I guess I can do is write something elsewhere, like on my tumblr, for instance and send over the link, so if you want to read it, you can. Works? Nah I'm just jelly. You should post it. :)

  9. Enjoying the Pizzawave sub-genre at the moment: http://strangepizza.bandcamp.com/album/wat-r-u-thinkin
  10. This stuff is everywhere! Today there was a guy in the shopping plaza playing pan-pipes drenched in digital reverb! He was selling CDs! He could have just been South American, but still..
  11. The price of blueberries, strawberries & raspberries fluctuates drastically depending on the season.
  12. But, at the very least, if you can't even set loop points properly...
  13. I'm with this. Re: the 'movement' that xox sees as lacking: I know some people are looking forward to the prospect that this album will not be like Oversteps.. but.. In Oversteps the drama often shifts as you go from the 'harmonic climate' of one track to another. The sequencing is very important. I often listen to albums on random order but for Oversteps I find it essential to listen from start to finish, it becomes very filmic that way and the last piece Yuop is sooo much more goose-bump inducing as a climax rather than simply an independent track.
  14. Fucking Warp announcing the abulum months in advance.. they don't make it easy for those of us who like to preserve ejaculation until the release date.
