  1. I can relate to that. The album has a few lengths. But I listened to it rather loud recently. And the soundscape is pretty brilliant. I can still cry when the last synths fly in on "Reach For The Dead". And I like the idea of horizontal composing. But hate it at the same time since lots of those brilliant moments on the album are just passing by to never return.
  2. Reaching For The Dead

  3. For me this happens with Reach For The Dead, when the synth melody flows in somewhere in the middle. I could burst into tears there. It's melodies that sort of melt my heart and unlock all my emotions.
  4. Funny enough, I had ordered my BOC copy at hhv.de with the red vinyl reprint of Bladerunner. It's just playing right now, after I listened to TH.
  5. Hell yeah. I just got my copy! Ordered at www.hhv.de! Just in time for a great weekend of music.
  6. LOL yes I though the same thing. After a few years of complete silence FSOL came out as complete hippies and are now doing Prog Rock. BOC look a bit like that on the photo. Luckily, TH doesn't make the impression of being hippie at all. Lucky us
  7. I hope this is a "hell yeah" fist and face and not a "you are in trouble" Joyrex, is this actually the longest running forum? I was just guessing here since I remember it from back in the days.
  8. For all the Germans around here. It mentions Watmm. http://www.hhv-mag.com/de/review/4597/autechre-exai
  9. Just got my vinyl. Bladelores sounds pretty weak sound-wise. Is the pressing bad? I had to put up the volume for quite a bit... What about your vinyl copies? Any sound issues?
  10. She keeps on passin' me by...

      Good ol' Pharcyde

  11. So they finally released it early. Welcome to Exailand I am glad the whining in this thread will stop now! Btw, who did the leak so they had to release early?
  12. what fizzkinz says. we need a track by track review! What do you want with that? If anything a track by track review of Ae music is completely pointless since the reception of their music is something like 150 % subjective, hence completely biased. This guy doesn't know bout Alcofribas' reviews!!!! Oh to be an Alcofribas virgin again... Look up his reviews, you will not regret. Will do. Thanks for the advice. But why hasn't he written anything on Exai yet?
  13. Not that tough a wording: This CD contains a uniquely identifiable digital watermark assigned to you. IT'S YOUR SOLE RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THE MUSIC ON THIS DISC REMAINS SECURE. If you are unable to take this responsibility, leave this seal intact and contact your label representative immediately. Then comes a unique number for the promo (like UK 7) and that's it. Standard text.

  15. yep...therfore i find it strange warp tells us exai is their 10th album... .. . Maybe a time loop?
  16. Certainly not, but quite often labels ask to publish reviews not before the release. Generally, you get the reviews maybe 1-2 weeks in advance. In regards to radio play, maybe they haven't sent anything out to radio djs? I know that there was a show on byte.fm a few days ago where a guy played Exai.
  17. Ae have programmed a script to delete all references to exai from the Net. i am wondering why we survived. just curious about thing : what are those 2 bully yakuza guys lurking on the other side of the street waiting for? they coincided with the arrival of the promo cd...
  18. Ah sorry, gl0tch. Just re-checked the cover of my supposed-to-be Exai promo. It says "James Brown & The JBs live at Apollo" on CD1 and Hip Hop Forever on CD2 (just a compilation of random Hip Hop beats from the 80s). Really sorry for the false hopes.
  19. It's more the beats, the entire rythmic cataclysm. I am looking forward to the live tour with Clyde Stubblefield on the drums. Bootsy can join anytime of course.
  20. Considering the quite bouncy, even danceable beats of Exai - well danceable in an Ae sort of way of course - I'd dare say this is Autechre's Funk album. It moves your arse from side to side and twice around the globus. Damn, just dislocated my hip. For everybody waiting, I'd could organise a home listening session (10 quid permission fee)
  21. Love this! May I use it for my review? :) Though I'd include a bit of James Brown in there as well.
