  1. This original track has been my "white whale" for quite some time after someone identified it on Reddit a while back. Finally located a decent rip of it. It's ripped from cassette so not perfect but better than nothing. It has no business slapping as hard as it does, please mention if you're interested
  2. I've got a ticket for sale to the live show in Brooklyn on 4/26. Unfortunately had something come up and I won't be able to make it. PM me if you're interested and we can sort out the details
  3. Saw her live in NY over the weekend with a bunch of new stuff presumably from the album. Sounded great, looking forward to hearing this in full.
  4. 100%, clocked that right away too Really enjoying this right from the jump, one of his best in a while
  5. Wow, was not expecting Drexiyan electro, a welcome change in style
  6. Yeah these are def from the 2017 Mt. Fuji tape. Nice to have them in better quality though!
  7. I'd hazard a guess that this is another mix since it's on Fabric. But hope I'm wrong and interested nonetheless...
  8. Looove this one. I hunted this down a few years back through one of my favorite hip hop tracks of all time
  9. Excellent work, shinobi! Sounds like you mastered the game better than I did. I'm pretty confident I could still beat most of the bosses quickly, but I have no confidence in my skills on Owl Father or either of the Isshin fights. Half skill/half luck, I never got to the point where it was muscle memory. Regardless, a true accomplisment, it's a tough game. I'm biased as it was my first From game, but Elden Ring was my favorite of the bunch. It's such a cool world and I've sunk over 500 hours into it across two playthroughs. Anxiously awaiting the DLC! Interested to hear what you think when you give it a try.
  10. Honestly I think Sekiro is gonna be a way rougher time for you if you are struggling with Elden Ring. You don't have to worry about weapons or stats but it still does not hold your hand at all and is quite complex. It's also a LOT tougher in my opinion. Elden Ring you can always level up or change builds and come back, Sekiro is git gud or go home. By all means give it a shot but I'm not sure you will find what you're looking for. Elden Ring is in my opinion the most accessible From Soft game, you just have to get over the initial learning curve. Or not! Play what makes you happy
  11. Also a FightinCowboy fan! A chill dude who makes super comprehensive and entertaining walkthroughs and strategy guides, super rare these days. I tried to play through the From catalog as blind as possible on my first go through, but I used his guides quite a bit for bosses and NG+ cleanup.
  12. Nice work! Owl Father is no easy feat. I beat the game in 2 weeks so I kinda sped through it but really struggled on him and it seems insurmountable at first. Isshin Sword Saint is def the tougher of the two but I struggled a lot with both, so if you can take down one you can beat the other. And yes staying in bosses' faces is for sure the key, cautious aggression is rewarded in this game. I struggled so much with both Isshin's that I ended up baiting out attacks that had safer counter windows. Still mad tough though. Amazing game but I'm not sure I'll ever revisit it.
  13. I agree, I was trying to brute force my way through the game before Genichiro but he really teaches you the mechanics to make it through the rest of the game. Isshin and Owl Father drove me to the brink of madness though.
  14. It's an EP of Call Me if You Get Lost outtakes as far as I can tell, but one can hope. He usually does stick to the new album every two years timeline.
  15. Godspeed my friend. It's a really cool game but lord is it challenging. Definitely gained some gray hairs on bosses like Owl Father and Isshin. When it clicks you feel like a total badass though. When you hit Genichiro, he's basically a test for if you're ready for the rest of the game. He teaches you how to actually play the game correctly. Keep us posted!
  16. Very true, since it was my first one I unashamedly used mimic tear, I'm sure it would be way harder without spirit ashes.
  17. Sekiro is definitely the hardest. Sword Saint Isshin at the end of the game took me over 6 hours of continuous attempts before I narrowly squeaked by. Awesome game but I have no desire to ever revisit it. Elden Ring and the Demon's Souls Remake are the easiest. Demon's Souls is a much simpler game mechanically overall but they did a great job with the remake, it looks and plays great. It's by no means easy but most of the bosses are pushovers. The real challenge are the levels, as there are no bonfires/sites of grace. So if you die on a boss you have to start from all the way at the beginning of the level again. Luckily there are shortcuts but levels like 5-2 are just a pain in the ass no matter how you slice it.
  18. I'm so pumped for this. I took a 15 year break from video games but picked up a PS5 during the pandemic to avoid losing my mind living alone in a new city. Had never played a Soulsborne game before but picked up Elden Ring after recommendations from friends and ended up absolutely loving it. I loved it so much that over the past year I went back and platinumed/100% all of them. DS1-3, Demon's Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro, the whole shebang. It was incredibly frustrating at times but also a sense of wonder and pride I've rarely experienced in gaming. The freedom of how to build your character, where to go, and not having your hand held was so refreshing. And some of the best bosses in history. Now I too take deep dives into the lore like Vaati's videos. I'm hooked and can't wait to dive back into the world of Elden Ring, it's already one of my favorites ever and the DLCs tend to be top tier.
  19. Will second Jorge Ben, Gilberto Gil is also great. Some really interesting early electronic music too like: Wendy Carlos - Switched On Bach Tangerine Dream - Rubycon White Noise - An Electric Storm
  20. A few I've kept coming back to over the years... Can - Ege Bamyasi Herbie Hancock - Headhunters/Thrust Nick Drake - Five Leaves Left/Bryter Layter/Pink Moon The Zombies - Odessey and Oracle
  21. Cant believe I know exactly what I think you're talking about but... One of my favorites trance tunes from my high school days. This might be the original source?
  22. Albums/EPs Mixtapes/Mixes Demdike Stare - The Call VHS Head - AMKS Halloween Mix
  23. Very mysterious indeed, enjoying this a lot. Very nostalgic, as someone who was pretty into 80s/90s Japanese fantasy movies and video games this hits the spot
