I think they were originally supposed to do a set of new stuff like the first two though, which never materilized
Maybe that was just a rumor floating around
This Gescom set in Manchester is awesome, it's like a whole new Minidisc album
Track 15 is beautiful, I still hope ae do a proper ambient album someday
what shows were thinking of contributing? i want to make sure i dont upload the same ones.
i have these direct board recordings with almost 90% unreleased tracks -
2005 Glasgow
1999 10/01 palm springs
2000 Berlin
2000 7/01 Tokyo
if you have any of these same ones i wont bother uploading them
I just uploaded 2005 Glasgow among those, haven't even heard those other sets.
Pauline was my personal mentor and friend in college. She really is a very smart lady and it was cool working with someone who personally knew John Cage and many other early electronic greats.
But yes, I agree with you about her music. Hour long accordian drones are not my thing I guess...
Interesting imagery, I agree this is ae's most visual album
I always wanted to see someone make a feature length animation with this as the score, it could be most excellent in the right hands
Check out some later stuff too, a little harder to get into but more rewarding eventually
Am I weird for thinking Incunabula is their worst album (aside from Draft maybe)?
I think it's interesting how every ae fan likes vastly different stuff.
For me, the most interesting period was Envane through EP7, every one of those releases is gold for me.
I think Incunabula and Tri Rep are among their least interesting material, despite all the praise that they get (although I do love Amber). Confield grew on me but I'm still lost when it comes to Draft.
