  1. This is great, definitely scratches that itch for 90s Warp, lots of early BOC influence on this one
  2. That's a good guess. I was thinking Tod Dockstader maybe as well
  3. Wow I've seen all these actually, some great picks here. When I was a kid in the 80s, I was like 6 or 7, Phase IV was on tv one afternoon and it blew my mind. I thought about it for years later without knowing the name of the movie or fully comprehending what it was about. The first time I listened to BOC it totally reminded me of that old movie and I eventually found it again. Definitely a similar vibe.
  4. Cheers, I think you're right about self hosting, it's just hard for people to randomly stumble upon your stuff like on a dedicated mix platform. Appreciate it though, that's the direction I've already been looking into. I've already got everything on archive, it just doesn't get much traffic.
  5. Fuck, end of an era. I have over 100 mixes over the past 20 years and time after time these platforms eventually go to shit. First PercussionLab folded due to hosting costs, then Vimeo booted me for copyright infringement, same with Soundcloud. Youtube inserted unskippable ads even without monetization, and now this. Does anyone know of any good alternatives that aren't a ghost town?
  6. Awesome. Can't believe it's been 2 and a half years since this thread was started...and 8 and a half years since the last album. Get your shit together Skam, Free Ade!
  7. Yeah it's def Kool Keith saying "jam like a tecker" from the Dr. Octagon track I posted earlier. Assuming it's referring to a TEC-9 semi-automatic weapon, but it sounds like he's saying Autechre.

Bellhead and Gamelan Fresh are amazing, up there with their best stuff. Seriously underrated stuff, especially if these are indeed live jams.
  9. Wow, I forgot about those. I still have some of them on an old hard drive, there was that crazy cover of Rae someone did only using samples of their voice.
  10. Airdrawndagger is super underappreciated. Sasha was one of those mainstream trance producers that could actually back it up with dope tracks.

What a nice surprise, tracks 3-5 are bangers
  12. I'll take what I can get at this point. Ade pls.
  13. Also love this one. I know this album isn't usually a favorite but there are some gems on here.
  14. Whoh oh, oh This disport is so augmatic (AUGMATIC) It is like a kind of magic (MAGIC) And baby when you dance I can see a bowl of crisps in your eyes (EYES)
  15. Oh man, where the hell do I find the track at 8:45? Apparently "Principles of Geometry - Loom Letter" but I can't find any other mention of it. Aping BOC for sure but it does it well.
  16. Enjoying this one, super clean production, especially like the 5th track. Here are a few I loved from back in the day. Machinedrum - Room(s) DJ Rashad - Double Cup Patrice & Friends - Champagne Songs
  17. Streaming mostly beatless ambient, synth, and IDM stuff for 10 hours today while I'm stuck inside due to snow, below freezing temperatures, and Covid. Got lots of old mixes lined up with a new one "Pure Moods V" at 9pm Eastern (GMT -5). Tune in if you're also hanging inside today. https://www.twitch.tv/smashtvmusic

Maybe their tightest release, one of my favorite pieces of music ever, a classic. Laughing Quarter and Draun Quarter are two of their best. Love the reedy synths they were using in this stage of their career.
  20. Oh wow, I haven't thought of Duckular in years, would love to hear those old tracks again too if anyone has them saved.
  21. Tim Reaper was my favorite new discovery this year. Really carrying the torch for old school jungle, seconding this!
