  1. i tried but it's kinda hard to get what it's all about. on one hand it's a complete farce with all kinds of quirks, clownish and absurd characters and ridiculous situations, on the other it's some kind of family drama, but then you get this ultraviolent side as well. and those three don't really mix well in the series, it's mess tonally and thematically. that lead guy is very bland too which doesn't help it being more watchable.
  2. needed to buy a particular keyboard at a branch of a pc parts retailer that i seriously despise because no other shops in the area had it. so in order to stay off their computerized grid completely i spoke english and identified as an american tourist without any suitable identification nor a local phone number. they still insisted that they needed some kind of name to input into the system so i went with doug prishpreed. i nearly cracked up and broke character when the salesperson typed the last name incorrectly (as "prishprid") and i fell compelled to correct him. gonna do this much more in the future.
  3. yeah that makes sense, i'm convinced that he should be assassinated AFTER he is legally replaced.
  4. thought i wouldn't be phased by this creature at this stage but that speech was actually vomit inducing. such an awful mix of utter idiocy, moronic nationalism, lies, hypocrisy and just plain anti-progressivism and anti-humanism. it still feels completely fucking unreal that he is an actual president of the most powerful country on the planet. i don't see anything immoral about him getting assassinated tbh. he's simply destroying the future and present lives of millions of people on a daily basis just by being a president.
  5. maniac is wank. the whole series feel like some new agey psych/philosophy conference. defatted jonah hill is a boring actor/character and half of the thing is based around him. it's somewhat similar to legion and leftovers, but the direction and production is not as inventive as legion despite much higher budget, and the emotional depth and resonance comes noway close to leftovers. and of course you get 80's nostalgia semen smeared all over it just because.
  6. it's a web-dl, basically exactly what you would get from netflix/amazon streaming. 7GB is generally ok for a 2hour 1080p film, though there is visible banding in dark scenes. NEVER ILLEGALLY DOWNLOAD
  7. mandy - very, very dull. there very a few scenes in the first half where i thought "ooh, here we go, this is where kicks in" but it kinda fizzled out and didn't lift off. basically it doesn't even succeed as style over substance exercise because there isn't much style, mostly it's just some overlong grainy shots, fucking about with cheapo lighting and smoke and crazed occult banter. the 2nd half is supposed to be full on revenge b-movie, but that too doesn't work. it's not funny enough, nor kinetic enough, the baddies are not colorful or interesting enough and cage in full on insane mode is a tired meme at this point. the only thing that stands out is the score, but that's obviously not enough to make a film. (copyright infringement disclaimer: i do not condome illegal acquisition of copyrighted audiovisual material from unsanctioned third parties. you should always support the hard work of your local cinematic communities that produce valuable artistic content that helps us persevere through those difficult times.)
  8. I haven't watched it yet, but the intention is to be shambolic. The guests aren't even supposed to know when the recording has begun. Did you ever watch Norm MacDonald Live? no, but i think i get his thing. i watched his latest standup special just recently and liked it quite a bit. but the show is just humorless, its shambolic nature feels contrived. he doesn't get many chances to spike the ramblings of his dull guests with his stuff. his sidekick is just irritating.
  9. awful show btw. maybe it's just the shitty guests but it really is uninteresting and uninspired.
  10. a financial advice guys: buy #normtouchedbarrymorewithoutconsent and #norealblackpeopleonnormsshow stock
  11. in utero is a much, much better album indeed. it still has some dull, grungy butt rockers like "rape me" and "hear shaped box", but then there a lot of songs where they get both very inventive and unhinged at the same time turning the formula on its head. scentless apprentice's verse is that uncharacteristically heavy and boomy riff that lifts off by the end but turns into chorus that's basically cobain tearing his throat screeching. it's awesome, it's almost a complete opposite of those edgy, sarcastic songs for teens to learn the chords of and sing along to for which they got popular.
  12. you're like 60 years old and from england, why do you even use those expressions?
  13. sweet jeebus that erran morrad bit on who is america is out of this world, it's a spotty show with really dumb and useless bits but when it peaks it easily rivals nathan for you's top stuff.
