@Mesh Gear Fox don't think that's why people get pissed.
as far as i can tell, people get pissed when people say they go third party or don't vote now that sanders is out. that looks more like a result of resentment than anything else. if you're supportive of sanders' his policies, the closest thing to getting those done in 2020 is by supporting biden. like it or not.
and i'm not sure what a real leftist is supposed to look like in US politics, btw. arguably, sanders is not a real leftist either. also not sure why biden would be a fake leftist as he was quite clearly a centrist, or moderate. haven't seen anyone arguing otherwise. although some lost republican might. or a staunch sanders supporter.
in the end though, there's probably plenty people resenting the dem establishment. such that they rather want Trump to win. personally, i think that's a very selfish way of doing politics. and shows some poor moral judgment, imo. but chomsky said it better in that youtube clip a while back: always vote for the least "worse" option. sanders will have more influence on us politics if biden is in the white house, than if trump is. it's really that simple. and going forward, it should be that simple to support biden instead of sanders. but that's by looking at it from a purely policy perspective.

It is.
Some good analysis at 538. Also good at pointing out that some arguments made about Sanders being the only viable alternative to Trump (in terms of strategy. not ideology or anything like that!) might be pretty weak and poorly founded. (again, this his nothing to do with people supporting Sanders for his policies)

The whole surgeon persona does work better if he's gay though. Gives it some secret levels of sophistication. Without it, it turns into a bland kind of cis power techno. With a bit of gayness, it gets that spark of IDMness burried into that techno.
God, that makes me sound gay. But its tru though! ;D

one of the problems w/people like owens is she exists in the pundit world and frames her arguments as such. she's confined by the media psyche in a way. there's certainly an agenda as there always is.. but it's weird shit. there's fracturing. it's an us vs them but everyone in that us vs them is american. people like her want to do damage for some wrong they imagine was foisted on them by the "other".. buy "them" in america. she and people like her are more interested in hurting some people than helping the people she imagines would be her supporters.
Sounds like she wants to play the demagogue card. First create distance from the bad examples (eg Hitler) and then pull a Trump. Which I think is not a good approach, btw. As she basically starts her campaign from a pretense of having some kind of moral framework.
One of Trumps strengths was his sense of being completely unapologetic. He can do whatever he wants and muscle his way out of any situation. (We'll see how this holds up under the current crisis, however. His first real crisis. So the jury is still out on this one) Candice here seems to think she can play some kind of moral demagogue role. (At least, that's what I read from whats being posted in this thread. I can't be arsed to invest more in her, tbh.) Which, imo, is not a very strong position to start from. As you're exposing yourself to all kinds of criticism on very subjective matters. Matters on which Trump could pull the proverbial middle finger.
I mean, Trump could get away with calling Putin a strong leader, for example. Getting away with stuff like that provides an awful lot of space to act in. Candace here starts off with putting restrictions on her own space. Not a smart play. And also one which I don't think would bring over the typical Trump supporters to her side.
Which is the interesting thing though. As she'd be running as an alternative for Trump. And the fact she is considering this ( gotta be fake news, right), might imply there are some cracks in the Trump wall, as seen from the Trump support group. Assuming she was a Trump supporter, or in line with people who support him.

But that was not what they are (and were) saying. He may indeed be the only option to represent what they believe (which is a strong overstatement, if you ask me. He's not that different. Or rather, having him or Biden in the white house wouldn't have made a big difference in terms of leftist policy outcomes), but the argument was about beating Trump.
Was the "Sanders is the only option to win against Trump" empty rhetoric? Is that what you're saying? Just a ploy to get people on board who weren't into Sanders for his policies?

Which reporting is that?
Volkskrant (vaguely left wing) is mostly in agreement with his position (but not with the manner in which it is put forth).
The suggestion was made - in that paper - that government leaders will step in and hopefully work something out between them. Unfortunately Merkel already had enough of our government's leader's "childish" (her words) position on increasing the budget of the EU even before this corona thing hit, so success is not exactly guaranteed.
Not sure what will happen, actually. I can't see the Dutch not using their veto to block or Merkel agreeing to financial guarantees for Italy that don't come with any sort of restriction. We'll see.

Some good analysis (in Dutch).
His position wrt ESM is problematic. The eurobonds thing is clearly not something which will be achieved on a short term. The ESM solution however is something that needs to be done "yesterday". And his position - or rather, approach - is putting that in jeopardy. Literally.

Not relatable? Or not disturbing?

I can assure you that the reporting in the Netherlands isn't very positive about the minister who is taking part in these EU negotiations. The guy isn't suited to do these things. Or in other words, this hasn't got anything to do with a position, but it's more about competence. It's all pretty much in public. And even Germany seems to have a hard time supporting the "Dutch" approach. Which is a first, btw.
Personally, I think this guys head is going to roll. Needs to roll.

Yeah, this is pretty much album level, imo. Definitely hearing some tracks in these sets which would shine on a proper album. Would be interesting to hear the "definitive" album versions of these tracks, as well. Also, these newer live-sets are more varied than the previous sets. Which is a good thing. Might be representative for the coming "albums" as well, i hope.

yes! you always get access to all the "lower" options (in your case, flac, normal wavs and mp3)

Assumed both versions were from the same recording, but one of them got the audacity treatment. Not sure why you'd do that with different recordings and tweak the hardware if the software solution is so much easier. As it allows for experimenting to find the right speed/pitch/tempo

1 set for $8 and 7 sets for $17 - Lol they really dont want you to buy only one set.
Is Dublin still the best?Currently more a fan of Oslo. Halfway beats part is best. And the track with the stabs that follows is excellent as well. And then something which I call the sounds track. All of them sounds like proper tracks from an album.
Thx soundwave!

went for oslo as well!
sounded like the most distinct from the bunch. lots of ambient soundscapes in these sets. oslo was more a mix, i thought.
