  1. You seem to not know anything about a man named Bernie Sanders... Watch this and then enjoy your game... https://youtu.be/hVNxjPcBufQ
  2. The West Wing while I work sometimes. Good dialogue and it's eerie how the exact same issues they talk about have had almost no progress made on them today. Health care, gay rights, and some marijuana prohibition are the only ones that come to mind as having been improved upon since then. Show Me a Hero on HBO. Oscar Isaac is currently my favorite actor.
  3. facecast has some great sounds and is well put together. Great skittering...cymbal, I believe? Love the reversed elements as well. Nice bits of ambient sounds and smooth beat. Great track, encym!
  4. Wow, I really like sanded! The bg noise you have on there is very interesting, I wish it sounded a little more like something I couldn't quite put my finger on instead of me thinking that it's a drill, even if it isn't, y'know? And great job on keeping the piano so simple throughout. Reminds me of Tim Hecker with less effects. I had to listen to beatstrap twice to tell if I liked it or not, I don't know what that means to you, I was probably just distracted the 1st time. Your sounds feel warm and unique enough that I feel like you've definitely created this and not slapped together presets like some. I appreciate that you didn't drag the track out and instead let it be a simple short piece. Very nice to have such a compact idea, distilled down to it's necessary moments only. i just followed you on sc, keep up the good work!
  5. According to rdj, if you listen to it all in one go, you will die This explains watmm...we're all dead and stuck in purgatory until every human on the planet has listened to drukqs in one sitting. I fear we will never be let out...

    TIDAL

Video is proof that this is not a "artist-driven" service, but a celebrity-driven service (I think I saw that quote somewhere but I can;t find it now to credit the source). Here are a couple of quotes from an Atlantic article on Tidal that I like and the ink to the article is below: "Tidal exec Vania Schlogel announced that "every great movement has been started by a few brave people" before thanking Sprint for its vision." "Talking to The New York Times' Ben Sisario, a Tidal representative "declined to comment on the company’s rates other than that they would be higher than services that have free tiers supported by advertising."" 7. The "dot" title song that's 2:51 long is a very pleasurable bit of ambiance. Nice way to loop a kick pattern. It draws me in and makes me want to find the most subtle way to rock forward and back gently. The other track posted below that one with the "cat eye" title is unique and feels much shorter than it is. JPDATSC felt like a cheeky interlude but it makes me think you haven't quite found your style yet (though I believe you said it's old). "+" has a nice evolution but feels a bit like a stock movie soundtrack vibe. 26/12 2 has a nice beat/groove but the sounds sound a bit to generic for me. Though I must admit I didn't listen to Colours all the way through, skipped around a bit, it feels very nice and a good bit of drone/repetition. I'll listen again when I'm contemplating something later.
  8. Comments below are for the first track posted on the first page. Very nice deconstruction going on, esp at first. Nice grit mixed in with the soft. Beautiful bass intro around :50! Nice quiet moment around 1:45 and rumble back to full beat following that. I really like the spaciousness and experimentation before getting to full groove. Like a baby duckling getting it's footing. Feels very original and distinct, great groove!

Sex8 had me going! The pick up at :36 lost me a little bit, I think it's the bass/drums seeming to stiff? From :26 to :36 had me groovin
  10. I saw Chappelle a few months ago and the first 20 minutes of his set was all current event/social commentary and fell so flat for me, but then he switched to personal stories in the 2nd half and had some great jokes with his signature delivery. It was really up there with some of his best stuff, just not a whole hour like he used to do.
  11. I don't think anyone mentioned Tom Segura yet. He is going to be huge one day. Like Burr, C.K. huge. Besides him, my favorites are: Hannibal Buress. His stand-up and his Eric Andre Show and Broad City contributions are all great. Duncan Trussell (His podcast is the shit! The man exudes love and absurdity and embodies the paradoxical nature of our universe through recognition of it.) Ari Shaffir has had some good specials and his show "This is Not Happening" is great! Bill Burr (of course) Ian Edwards has made me laugh my ass off in podcasts but I haven't looked up his stand-up. C.K. (of fucking course!) Todd Barry's crowd work special is really hilarious and different. Broad City gets a mention for me as well as it's one of the best comedy shows on television.

  14. One of my favorites as well. Probably already been mentioned too, but Wildfield's ...And Will Protect From All Evil has been in rotation at my place. Here is a link: http://wildfield.bandcamp.com/album/and-will-protect-from-all-evil
  15. Aniracetam, phenylpiracetam, coffee, protein shake with collagen, MCT oil, eggs, butter, creatine, chocolate powder, vanilla, and honey time to get pumped up! later...fermented grape juice
  16. My digital music collection is VERY well organized. My girlfriend is impressed with me every time I replace the toilet paper roll. I found the best ballpoint pens recently and stocked up so I never run out.
  17. This goat has got some serious Katie Holmes mouth.
  18. This might be the most insane job ever. I would shit my pants.

Great retelling of the 2nd Sudanese Civil War. I felt fully entrenched in the life of the main character which is saying something as some of the scenes are impossible to fathom being in yourself. It is a true story and it is hard to imagine some people still live this way. There were occasional parts that I felt didn't have the proper weight distributed to them, but this is probably the way it actually felt becoming numb to constant death and hardship going on all around you, being forced from not only your hometown but country. Good book.
  20. bulletproof coffee with butter and MCT oil, water with sea salt and apple cider vinegar, eggs and avocado, and many supplements...healthy brain breakfast
  21. I saw 'Promised Land' the other night, it was a good film, but it's related to the industry I work in so it hit home. Directed by Gus Van Sant, written by Dave Eggers
  22. I dig my Norelco G380. Came with all sorts of attachments and adjustables.

Finished 'A Hologram for the King'. It was a very simple read, Hemingway-esque in it's simplicity but not in it's greatness or content. Underwhelming ending for me, but as I reflected on it over the course of a few hours I appreciated it. On to 'Zeitoun' by Dave Eggers. So far, better than 'Hologram...'.
