  1. Close the thread down. At least that way the forum users can take steps towards pretending it never existed. Denial is the only way forward at this point. I couldn't believe what I was seeing on some of these pages. A true abomination and another sad chapter in the history of this website.

  2. Current state of my mtb which I've been building back up from scratch after sending the frame back to the factory for a repaint

I've loosely assembled it together to take to a bike shop to do the finishing touches that I don't have the tools for, bottom bracket and headset fitted, gears sorted out. I phoned round all bike shops in my area and they all  said no, all booked out. I said sheeeyit..butI'm not going to mess with it, temping as it is.. i'd rather let the expert fix it, while its tempting, experience has taught me some shit will cost you more in the end if you think you're a wizard from youtube tutorials and get too complex

  3. Listen man don't showcase your weak trivia knowledge like you're reinventing the wheel, i used to lambast Rubin for that shit till I got him to behave. It was like training a dawg that spills its guts all over the new carpet until you shout at it and its anus tenses up and quivers.

I watched the film a couple of nights ago and I gotta say it does a good job of building tension and paranoia..good writing and acting, there was some depth and intrigue. But as always with this stuff it falls apart in the final act..very badly. I can't say too much until I learn how to use spoiler tags but we get a new character who is just one of the worst pieces of shit I've ever seen, both as a character and plot device.

  4. It's a curveballer, i'll say that much for it. I have to credit it that it didn't play ball and is a worthy watch.

7500 - I love films which are in a confined space. Phone Booth, Das Boot, Locke, Buried. It ramps up the tension when you don't know what's going on outside, 7500 played on those strengths and I was impressed

The Guest - Finally saw this last night and it ticks all the boxes for me personally, I think they did a good job with it, strong lead..sets itself up for a sequel

This being a Warp Film, it is of course mandatory viewing

That is an appalling comment. To suggest viewing habits are governed by the notoriety of a film production company. How old are you? 15? Or are you 50 and think you are speaking to an audience of naïve doofus' happy clappers? A lot for you to mull over this weekend, just such a douchey statement, almost self contained in its own willful ignorance and misguided grandiosity. Do you work on a shipping container?

Could have worked better if it had never been made. Everyone here. Please only bump this thread if you have something worthwhile to offer from now on. The last couple of pages are an embarrassment.

  8. this mission needed Jules..in years gone by animals were projected into space..i don't see anything wrong with putting a doofus up there. Jules could report back to mission control with updates ''hey those propeller engines sound like autechre ttp1..oh man..so stoked..i could listen to that song forever..thanks for that! so awesome..hey we should hook up next time your in NJ''.

Finally the world have a use for a man like Jules.

I mean, sure, the SFX aren't up to today's standards

Whoa whoa back up there cowboy..i don't think I need to say any more..this guy clearly doesn't understand the beauty of Rob Bottin's work..we rarely see that kind of craftsmanship anymore...other than being replicated in CGI..but it isn't the same

  10. ista.jpgthis was good...perhaps the most heavily reliant film on voiceover of any film I've seen...to watch it can be boring..the script must have been 300 pages.. it  grinds you down..at the end you are in the world of the Butcher.. he's never someone you're rooting for..he's the most repellant man on the planet.  A drifter and casualty who sees himself as the victim of a corrupt France. To say any more would be to say too much but its a film about the barriers people put upon themselves rather than what they think has been suppressed on them by the enforced laws in their mind

  11. Yeah, you should see all the things I've being saying about you. Probably for the best you blocked me and put me out of your mind. I'm not a forgiving man and Hugh Mungus getting your Ceephax EP's tipped me over on the edge and I will never..ever forget that...there's a fire that burns

    DSC-1046.jpg

I smashed my brewdog glass tonight while I was tossing some old Ceephax CD's into the flames...erasing the past..but can I truly forget the betrayal. Thank god you're not reading this...you would go insane

Anyway.... I Lost My Body on Netflix ❤️ rediscovering my love of French animation and spent today trying to find one of my old favourites,  the old classic Belleville Rendezvous..to no avail, well at least not in 1080p which is my minimum requirement

  12. Splendid track and a great series of releases but I'm still bewildered why they released NTS on vinyl at all..they embraced the long form format with quaristice outakes and elseq on mp3...pardon my sensuality..i could never be one of these men who flips a record half way thru an ambient track.
