  1. this should have come out back in december/january. it sounds cold & winter-y as fuck
  2. seems like they keep exploring the Exai/elseq/AELive sound palette... well, I'm not complaining. That last """ambient""" track was fucking lush
  3. same. the synth patch is very reminiscent of that part in pendulu hv moda before the snare comes in
  4. yes edit: it's working on my phone. strange
  5. i hope they make one of those goofy pics through the window at the NTS HQ after this is over
  6. Does anyone know the name of this tune? Only managed to catch a bit of it with my phone so sorry for the shit audio https://clyp.it/xb2s42zj
  7. Yes! New MoM! Love the audio sample, reminds me of 'The Illking' from Idiology, same kind of vibe
  8. I really enjoy Exai (one of my fav AE lps) and I also dig some parts of elseq, but I see where you're coming from. It might have to do with how surripere, Sublimit, etc. were all tightly composed (from what I understand) VS. the more free-form, real-time jam-session style in which (again, I assume) the tracks on elseq were created. The tendency of many longer elseq-tracks is to just meander for a long time without much emotional variation. On the other hand, a track like irlite (get 0) is a good example of an exciting long-form Ae track with many variations: Skip through it and you can recognise distinct sections, each with its own mood/feeling to it, creating an elusive narrative structure. For me, my enjoyment of elseq is also a bit diminished by the fact that the "sound-palette" is, to my ears, very similar to Exai/L-event/AE-Live/Dilankex. IMO Ae are at their best & most enjoyable whenever they come out with a radical new sound (Chiastic, LP5, Confield, Untilted, Oversteps), something that many other listeners tend to struggle with. Finally, as mentioned by some others before, I think it'd be more enjoyable if the tracklist was just more concise and it resembled more of a traditional album with nice track2track flow, something that Exai does brilliantly. (can't believe I'd ever say that I would prefer fewer tracks on an Ae album lol) just some thoughts, I'll keep listening.....
  9. completely agree.. this is the playlist that i'm rocking right now, would make a nice 2xCD/3xLP
  10. so have all euro watmmers received their ae vinyl by now? I got a dispatch notice ~two weeks ago but I'm still waiting....
  11. november's gonna be awesome, first the show and a couple of days later Tri Rep will be waiting for me in my mailbox. nice one!
  12. same. i already posted it in the elseq minutiae thread, but god DAMN when those high freq metallic zaps come in around 4 mins in i can't help but turn the volume up a bit more and just jam out. One of my current favs along with pendulu hv moda, mesh cinereaL, 13x0 step and acdwn2
  13. good analogy, elseq in particular struck me as very Bitches-Brew-y, it has that sort of meandering, jammy quality to it
  14. Alright just listened to this thing front to back. What an amzaing experience.... how nice it would be to have all the EPs on wax.... Elseq definitely has the most nocturnal/nighttime vibe of all ae lps/eps. My fav is still ep1, but that is subject to change
  15. Got a 5 hour+ trian ride ahead of me, time to let this one sink in!
  16. Damn, so much new stuff. Here's hoping they release a vinyl comp of some of the tracks, or release them as 12"s... not really into the digital only thing
  17. cheers I always thought the Untilted era live rig was Elektron only
