  1. Agreed! I like some of his material quite a bit, and got really hyped up on a particular track for it's its ability to perfectly encapsulate certain 90s motifs and progressions... Somewhere between INXS, The Smiths, and Type 0 Negative. Long-time lurker of this thread, glad to have the opportunity to discuss Clanton. I've seen him three times live and it's always been awesome. 100% Electronica (the album) hits all the marks for me. He wears his influences on his sleeve, but he's able to take them and craft his own sound quite effectively. Particularly on the track Slide, I hear ver
  2. Suki Girlz sounds like nothing else doesn't it? It's my favorite release of his, tied only with Last American Hero / Adrenaline's End. I lurk hard on this thread but I gotta come out thank you for posting suki girlz. Shit is awesome and I can't believe I never heard about this album. It's true, there's really nothing else like it. Tropical/cloudy vaportrap like Cobalt Road & STΛQQ ƟVERFLƟ - Biosphere comes close, but doesn't quite capture the lo-fi murkiness of Ferraro.
  3. Absolutely. I ducked out a little early but i had a blast guys. Sent from my One using Tapatalk
  4. You guys have room for someone who registered here like forever ago but barely posts? I'd be down to meat up. btw, a word on parking: I happen to know for a fact that you can park at the nearby Shaw's parking lot and it's totally cool. If I'm not parking there, I'll park somewhere on or off of Babcock st right when you get into Brookline. Those spots are unmetered and and no permit is needed.
  5. I'd venture to say he has made (and continues to make) a majority of his income from his graphic design stuff. Just a thought. I've been following his blog for a long time, and it used to be pretty much only him posting about his freelance graphic work.
  6. Why do the BoC-influenced lack originality? It seems like anybody trying to mine the pastoral, gauzy-beat electronic music vein can barely venture outside of the tried-and-true aesthetic already set forth by Boards.
  7. My first reaction to left side drive was not what people in this thread were saying. But after giving skyliner its due, it really started to grow on me.
  8. it's only about one minute. Which sucks. I always feel like it should have been expanded upon. Would've made a kickass song.
  9. confield draft lp5 Tri Repetae++ untitled
  10. On the same note. http://avclub.com/content/node/42249 anyone see this when it came out? I llistend to a few tracks on the abum they compare TCH to, it's "meh" at best.
