  1. Agreed! I like some of his material quite a bit, and got really hyped up on a particular track for it's its ability to perfectly encapsulate certain 90s motifs and progressions... Somewhere between INXS, The Smiths, and Type 0 Negative. Long-time lurker of this thread, glad to have the opportunity to discuss Clanton. I've seen him three times live and it's always been awesome. 100% Electronica (the album) hits all the marks for me. He wears his influences on his sleeve, but he's able to take them and craft his own sound quite effectively. Particularly on the track Slide, I hear very heavy Seal influences.
  2. Suki Girlz sounds like nothing else doesn't it? It's my favorite release of his, tied only with Last American Hero / Adrenaline's End. I lurk hard on this thread but I gotta come out thank you for posting suki girlz. Shit is awesome and I can't believe I never heard about this album. It's true, there's really nothing else like it. Tropical/cloudy vaportrap like Cobalt Road & STΛQQ ƟVERFLƟ - Biosphere comes close, but doesn't quite capture the lo-fi murkiness of Ferraro.
