then there's the rushup edge remaster, which really rejuvenated it for me. basically all the aspects of the mastering that irked me about the original were fixed and new aspects and levels of detail came to light. been getting blown away by death fuck as one of the crowning works by james in new ways, lately, which is cool because i thought i had already realized that. goodbye jo and the new last rushup are nice improvements over the prior ones, for me, and its kind of like they're new songs, because i wasn't that into the old versions. the new mastering of synthacon seems to have fixed something being off about those sounds at the beginning, which always put me off, and the vocoder parts have a nice new psychedelic lush detail, unless i'm imagining things. and bear in mind, when i mention these perceived limitations of the original rushup edge, that that release floored me and i considered it musically historic.

lol I remember reading that someone put the old and new files in a spectograph (?) and apparently they're one and the same.. It's 4.40 so I'll check myself later, I'm just curious if anyone has proof for a remaster, will be a while before I'm home near my proper setup.

  2. ww I was hoping for a one off syro outtake on this but this is still great. 99%modular experiments on tape  :music:  I really want to try mixing that one beat heavy thing with something off SAW as well,, ☻/10

    ps: neotek test b+11 ✦*+.

  3. Agreed - it would be nice if there was some sort of news feed or at least an email newsletter generated when new tracks were added/updated (it's 2017 - I think the tech is well-established for this).

Didn't you ask someone on here for a web tracker? Some guy mentioned one, bit too lazy to find it right now. Not sure if he ever replied

  4. I imagine the Marshall track is a recording of huge modular synth eruption thru a giant stack of Marshalls at 135 dB.

Oh I didn't even think about it being about the amp, I thought it was more of a reference to a nickname someone gave him, like, Marshall Chords, Inspector Riff, Deputy Melody..

    Folks, please:

    • No racist remarks
    • No requests for rips (tape will probably be on AFX Bleepstore eventually)
    • More discussion about the music plz

mister, how are we supposed to talk about the music without a rip?  :emb:

also yeah thanks, let's be peaceful and enjoy the mistery that is marshall chords 01.. curious if that'll be a full blown emotional euphoria track or if it's a chord experiment à la  4voice solo teac. those were lush!

  6. Who the fuck is Geoff Sanders, Todd Osborne and Kaito? A family of hipsters trying to cash in like a discogs parasite? What gives them the right to play people like this? They're revelling in their middlemen status, but the reality is they're not needed. It may be true that Kaito is being dragged into this by pops but he'll be tarred with the same brush unless he stands on his own two feet and leaves the business.
