Welcome back from the rock you were under?Had no clue about any of this (or elseq!)
-
Ok so it turns out that all this time I’ve been reading the title as “Spaces V How”
And it was only when this thread popped up that I realized I’d been reading it wrong
-
About 60% of the time when I listen to NTS1 I do the same thingI wonder what went on when they decided to place bbq as the second track of this whole series. In general i start from debris funk :)
The other 40% I put on t1a1, then skip to debris funk

One thing is certain:
This is either a shitty trolling done by shitty people for some shitty reason
... or it isn’t

While I realize this is all in slight jestThe best Autechre album?
Whatever AE album I'm currently listening to...
The 'worst' AE album?
Whatever album I haven't listened to recently...
=P
I can’t support this
It’s been a while since I last put on Confeild or EP7, and it’s not because of any distaste
NTS overtook my AE attention, and its release spurred me to go back and revisit elseq and AE_live just to see how it all evolved to where we are now.
Then I went back and relistened to oversteps and move of ten because some of the back half of NTS reignited that sound palette in me
I feel like the time in my life when my listening habits are least reflective of my personal preference is right after a release
All of this can be restated as follows:
AE are good
-
So very confused by LP5 being so low on your list Roo
But, I’m coming to terms that everyone Autechres in a different way, and my Autechre isn’t always everyone else’s Autechre
-
Relistining to NTS3 and I feel confident this one is my favorite
Nothing against 1, 2, or the first half of 4, as they are all great in their own right, and 2 is a close 2nd place for me
But 3 just resonates with me the most

As this stream loops back around I'm remember how much I like hour 1.
Overall we got 7 solid hours of great Ae this month
I'll stop complaining
-
About 30-40 minutes after it should havewhen is the stream ending?
I'd never thought I'd say that about autechre
-
First hour of NTS4 was pretty solid
Second hour I may listen to once ever again for the rest of my life if I feel like falling asleep

Yea I've been digging pretty much all of this, but over the past ~3 minutes this track has overstayed its welcome for me
-
I know this goes without saying but this has been lush as fuck
still hoping for some crunchy drums eventually, but I'm enjoying this ride too
-
To my ears elyc9 sounds like Autechre
What really gives it away is when I play it in iTunes, under artist is says Autechre
-
Not understanding the people saying the rank session 3 the lowest.
Nothing against sessions 1&2, which were stellar, but Session 3 is some HOT HOT Ae action that I am loving
-
Probably too early to tell, but session 3 might be my fav
-
After careful consideration I've come to the conclusion that this is quite good.
Easily the best thing they've put out since last week
-
Looks like I picked the wrong glooobinflafin to quit sniffing hasynglofnopginaxxis
Ae has melted my brain banana
-
Well everyone knows this is brand new Autechre
whatdoesitallmean! WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN!!Let the records show, I ran some youtube copyright ID numbers on the NTS biz last week when it was little more than a radio broadcast, and not as we now know it to be as part 1 of 'NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL'TECHRE VOL. 1-4'. Pootube copycocked it within minutes, and the strike was noted as infringing on 'NTS Residency - Autechre'. Curiously, it wasn't for the whole duration of the recording, but only for the duration of... bqbqbq.
But what YouTube pre-supposes is... what if it isn’t??
-
finally listening to the official / non-bootlegged version from the AEstore
13 ctrl comes on:
I have so many regrets for not allowing myself to properly digest elseq before this came out.
I've listened through the elseq tracks a handful of times, continuously thinking I'd one day give them enough listens to get properly acclimated, and now I've got all this insanity to juggle in there too
-
I’m thinking they did a physical release for this because they saw so many people claiming elseq wasn’t a proper release, so it’s just like “ok fuckers here 12 LPs, have fun with that”Interestingly they went for a physical release. They put effort into thinking how it all would fit on 12" and CDs. That effort alone makes me consider this as a proper (mega) album. I wonder about their thoughts on Elseq being a digital only release and NTS Sessions a physical release. ( I'm sure some NTS tracks are edited such that they would fit the format. They could have done the same with Elseq??)

Looks like I picked the wrong universe to quit sniffing glue

I don’t know about you all, but I for one enjoy Autechre
Also, the notion that we could have 8 hours of new Autechre in the span of a month truly frightens me
I’m still barely handing on by a thread from the AE_live iteration explosion, and have only made it through elseq a hand full of times
I may never recover
Autechre. NTS Residency. (_O_)
