I'm still finding myself just listening to 1 and 4. The others have some cool moments but it's pretty rare that I actually find myself wanting to hear something from them. I think I need to blast through the whole thing 1-5 again.

Yea 3 has mesh cinereaL

But other than that I don't much care for it so I end up listingng to that one the least. Even though I adore mesh cinereaL

Their music has always been pretty repetitive though.. their output up to maybe chiastic slide was even more repetitive than this stuff imo. Again, I don't have a problem with it at all, but repetition has kinda been their thing since the beginning..

I guess the difference is that a song like foil can be repetitive for 6 minutes and that is just fine. But if it was repetitive for 26 min, things might be different (for me at least)

most of the songs they've released that push the length all change significantly enough to never feel repetitive (sublimit, irlite, cloundline)

And the majority of the long forms on elseq don't come off as too repetitive to me either

I don't expect to change anyone's mind on this though. If you dig eastre in full, then great

What skipping bits?

the track cuts out briefly at around forty seconds in. and then again at about fifty-three seconds, but it's less 'blemished' sounding the second time.

My mixed feelings about elseq boil down to this:

-eastre should be no more than half its length

-TMB2 is awful

-the "skipping" bits in 13x0 step will never stop feeling out of place and are a thorn in the side of an otherwise great track

 

And... At risk of being disemboweled... I do not care for Feed1 at all

 

Otherwise this is all amazing stuff

Holy hell! Finally got around to listening to elseq 4

acdwn2 is a beast!

If the rest of 4 holds this level of amazing I can see why so many are calling part 4 their fav

Really at this point everything has transcended beyond LP/EP

While I've still only listened to parts 1-3, mesh cinereaL is so far my favorite

Though from what people have been saying, it sounds like part 4 and 5 are quite the gems

To be fair, excluding the EPs is a bit of a sizable exclusion.
