  1. so instead of the masks this time around everyone can hold up the the album cover above/below their eyes to make their own personalize richard face. brilliant.
  2. i want 7'16'' snowbombing set!@
  3. i<3 to hear you switching phase during sequence
  4. probably even after all the fancy stuff still say this is one of the highlight moments of all the http://www.sendspace.com/file/lfsinf
  5. the contention of the original statement had nothing to do with any comparison of headphones vs speakers vs etc it wasnt the topic of discussion. a bit like saying formula1 cars something something handling and then saying well no one can afford a formula1 car so nevermind
  6. if the reproduction environment imposes significant distortion as to degrade the perceived response (freq/time-domain), or the ambient noise floor is high, etc etc ... then of course headphones can function as a net benefit. however issues localized to your environment do not allow for a catch-all generalization for all reproduction systems across all acoustical spaces. it's the equivalent of writing off the performance or abilities all automobiles based on your experience with one particular model who may or may not have even be operating within the confines of the deigned envelope in the first place. distinguishing details of panning does not imply accurate stereo imaging, as with speakers within a bounded space of which the pertinent signals destructive to imagine are mitigated.
  7. stereo imaging isn't "lost using speakers" nor is it "gained" by use of headphones. conclusion is likely a result of distortion imposed by the listening environment, not necessarily an error within the source material.
  8. headphones? no haas trigger no party

  15. untitled9 was the only one to ever able to hold any appreciable attention. woul dhave been nice to see this one presented on the vinyl release.
  16. best run these 10seconds sick http://www.sendspace.com/file/lqzrxr
  17. minute sample repeated for as many minute as there are in a day and still going alreayd know next time friend ask what is autechre mean this is track to display. straight up autechre
  18. ae preorder machine. getting a touch of a bit out of hand.::63usd spread across (2) copies.
  19. real estate limitations dictate, but in small residential rooms most here are constrainted to it is best to place the speakers on stands many feet in front of the desk. the desk (surface area) should be minimized as much as possible and tilted (sloping) downwards. of course, all of the indirect arrivals can be identified via the envelope time curve (ETC), and traced back to their incident source.
  20. having a largereflective surface between yourself and your monitors really is one of the most destructive indirect virtual sources you could induce to the listening position with respect to imaging. the path length difference will be within the 1-3ms image shifting zone of ear/brain system and typical speaker vertical polar response and physical size of desk (wrt wavelength) yields colored reflection. the short path length and rigidty of the surface implies the reflection will be high in gain with respect to direct signal thus resulting in very well defined 3d spatial polar lobing corresponding to the comb filter interference pattern within the 2d freq plot. early indirect signals within the haas int are very destrutive to accurate localization miaging and intelligibility, but the very early 1-3ms signals are even more destructive and must be addressed. these are typically due to speaker cab diffraction or edge diffraction from objects/surfaces within the direct signal path. of course ALL of this destructive indirect energies can be identifed via time-domain analysis.
  21. having the source decoupled from the desk does not imply the desk itself does not continue to resonate. speakers on the desk is the fundamental problem in itself (large, reflective surface between yourself and your monitors inducing high-gain early arriving indirect signal).
