  1. I really wonder if new album=tour...

I mean normally artists go on tour when they release something new and big, but this is RDJ we're talking about...

i'm hoping the appearance of the aphex logos all over nyc means that there will be a US tour.

  2. chiming in to say here's to all of us at watmm for keeping the 'phex in our hearts

From enjoying old sets and albums, to feeding the tracklists,

From posting about unreleased stuff to kickstarting CWLP

To the hilarious phtoshops, to the world-play and punnage,

From the RDJ picture porn to the rafts of speculations about what is "coming"..............

.lets just all fucking wallow in it for the last few weeks of The Nothingness.

A new era approaches..................set phaces to stunned!

    :beer::braindance:

  3. Pitchfork already confirmed that Syro was the album title so I don't see why it wouldn't be it. I guess there could be multiple albums, who knows. There's probably more clues in the website.

yes but where do you think pitchfork got their information from?

    also :rtfm:

    also welcome :emotawesomepm9:

  4.

so check this out guys, i dont think the album is really called syro.

it doesnt seem very aphexian to have such a short album title but thats not why i think so. read from wikipedia article about .onion domains:

    Format

Addresses in the .onion pseudo-TLD are opaque, non-mnemonic, 16-character alpha-semi-numeric hashes which are automatically generated based on a public key when a hidden service is configured. These 16-character hashes can be made up of any letter of the alphabet, and decimal digits beginning with 2 and ending with 7, thus representing an 80-bit number in base32.

The "onion" name refers to onion routing, the technique used by Tor to achieve a degree of anonymity.

    source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.onion

if the domain is has to be automatically generated how did they get it to contain a phrase they wanted?

    http://syro2eznzea2xbpi.com/

on the top it says ARTIST NAME and ALBUM TITLE

and on the tor version it says Aphex Twin and Syro

so Syro is definitely the title

but this might mean that eznzea and xbpi mean nothing and there'll only be one album

still doesnt make sense that they would be able to generate a domain that they were able to chose the first 4 characters of... unless it does and i'm just not understanding this wiki. i guess its also possible that he didnt have a name for the album and liked syro upon generating the URL. hmm.

  6. Where'd you get that pic? Not seeing it on their FB page / twitter

    nick's facebook

Funny or Die is probably a better place for them than Adultswim (which is where i figured they might be trying to get in the door of) but i'm going to miss the stuff like 'mitt romney's head looks like a good place for a bullet'

dont know too much about funny or die but i do know they were able to get Obama on between two ferns. I have a feeling they wont give them 100% full creative control which is sort of a necessary thing, especially for these guys. They've always boasted that they are strictly viewer supported, is it selfish of me to kind of hope it stays that way?

He set most of his videos to private for some reason...

I asked Nick Rochefort about that and he said:

uhhhh like suits are checking us out..... so they want to see high production value only in order for us to get moneys from the bad men to take over the feminist movement.

Makes sense i guess, vertical videos might be a bit much for the man.

i put together a pastebin of all the URLs for the unlisted videosi could find from my watch history, here it is if anyone ever is trying to find something, its not all of them so feel free to contribute i guess..
