The reveal was good and I generally like The Mandalorian overall but it's a shame it's bringing in Jedi's and lightsabres and stuff now. I kinda wanted it to be a separate thing within the Star Wars universe. I am sick of the action scenes of countless stormtroopers being mindlessly executed too. If Mando wasn't completely indestructible it might have a sense of threat. Like, that bit on the truck in the Burr episode when he didn't have his armour was the best action scene all season I think.
I think the Jedi and lightsaber stuff will be kept in the spin-off series Ahsoka. Luke was the only choice that made sense and got his Vader at the end of Rogue One moment. I guess s3 will be about how Din gets out of having the Darksaber and there will be minimum Jedi stuff. I do like that in The Mandalorian the Force and Jedi stuff is more myth and old folktales than an actual thing. As it should be for most of the beings in the galaxy.

I mostly listen to "alternatively" sourced filez locally. Don't have Spotify. Bandcamp I use to preview tracks and occiassionally buy from there. Youtube for previewing tracks as well. Don't really use Soundcloud. Will be listening to more vinyl once I move and settle to a bigger place by the end of next month.

Yep, The Mandalorian is now Star Wars, forget about the PT and ST. With the million other SW shows coming up I do hope they manage to keep the standard high and even improve.

I've enjoyed all the stuff Noah Hawley's been involved with so I'm game with whatever he does with Alien. It's not like it could be worse that with the brilliant Sir Ridley has done lately. (not that I mind the Prometheus thing, they are alright good looking scifi)

My stash has run out and I've haven't smoked any in a week and my dreams have been so vivid. It seems cannabis suppresses the REM phase of sleep. I dunno if it's a good thing or a bad thing since it's unknown what purpose REM/dreaming has. I guess it must have some use since we are doing it or then it is just an emergent property.

Disney announce 10 Star Wars and 10 Marvel series – and new films
Just watch the c-suites will fuck up any semblance of originality on these movies again, like they did with the previous ones. It will be focus group tested into cookie cutter pablum.

New book interview w/ Lucas where he revealed Darth Maul & Darth Talon were the original villains of his sequel trilogy.
Then why he kill Darth Maul in the first prequel movie? George is such doofus, I think he got very lucky when he made A New Hope and the rest of the OT. The stars aligned.

can someone explain how it's possible to see how bad everything is and still think liberal democracy is the solution?
Lets not look at the US as some shining example of it. It's a mix of advanced states and some that are closer to developmental states. The governmental system is also outdated and isn't really able to do fundamental reforms. It's an empire in decline.

Boss Level, an action Groundhog day sort of movie. Frank Grillo as the protagonist and Mel Gibson as the villain. Watchable movie and reads like a live-action GTA-type of game.

Is Will Smith only doing vanity movies for his kids nowadays?

The second season of The Mandalorian is delightful. It is exactly how a nerdy teen me would have liked a Star Wars adventure. Has me smiling with nostalgic nerd joy. And dropping those tasty EU nuggets all over the place. This is the series that is keeping Star Wars on life support while the rest of Disney figures out what they want to do with the property.

Does our man in Japan have access to a digitally pristine version of the track?

First impressions after one listen, this is a damn fine album by Betke. Smoother but still having that classic clackety Pole sound. Great, a highlight of 2020 for sure.

Some individual GOP members saying Trump should just quit isn't going to wash the Trump stink off from that party. They did not just touch the poop, they've smeared themselves in it.

If Donnie put Rudy up to that sweaty mess of a presser they should add elder abuse on the pile of crimes.

Snagged this along with the Series Two re-release. I wonder if there will be a repress of the Reference album on deFocus. CiM was among the first artists that I checked out when I got into teh idmz.

Queen's Gambit got recommended to me by a couple of sources and it indeed was worth the watch. Good paced story with good characters held up with strong performances. Taylor-Joy with well deserved accolades. Always good to see Bill Camp, although in a very limited role but playing a character that set the whole thing in motion.

There will be huge expensive vinyl boxset of all their albums when they decide to shut down Tool. It will be released 20 years after the announcement.
