i think this image is CG. look at the wall in the upper left - it's just a flat texture, so are the wires. i reckon this is part of a new video or a series of promos (also it's probably a massive spoiler). -

i'm not much of a political internets guy, but i take breastfeeding seriously and it pains me to think how many countries at the top of this chart have normalized artificial baby formula. you could about body image, the effects of porn, or many other modern/western issues, but that's where it counts.

just tried sounding for the first time in my life. lots of safety stuff to do beforehand but i was pretty pumped up about it. was mainly just weird. it's really scary when you're actually doing it, which i guess is what makes it fun. if i start getting aches and pains i promise i won't write tonnes and tonnes of posts. might lead to another fwp though.

iirc he said when he composed 'i' at age 13, he was shy about how emotive it was so he told all his friends that his cat jumped on the desk and made the track by mistake. the orange juice thing (related) was real, happened to the masters of tracks 3 and 4 on SOSW so the released ones were created again.

getting tired of seeing "buy now 2.49" come up on amazon prime video. never in my life have i chosen so many things to watch and then not watched them. couple of weeks ago i was very bored and added the Paramount+ free trial. obviously i didn't bother to take it off and i'm paying for that shit. felt like shit last night, got exhausted with loss of emotion and empathy - that feeling when you're concerned about it, how much effort it takes to give a fuck but being aware of it as well. then i'm choosing stuff to watch, and i can get Twin Peaks for free! hot damn it's been a while. that sublime movement of moody atmospheres rocked my world, as usual. got my emotions back. only problem is the episodes begin with a new Paramount+ logo card. it's obnoxious - Twin Peaks has such a delicate blend of red tones and soft, warm light. and i cannot describe to you how my retinas screamed at this solid wall of bright, blue light which bulldozed into my sleepy little living room at 2am. i figured it was a good time for a night time walk. this uk heatwave is a bitch and you honestly can't go out in the day. everything is so pretty at night. at the top of the hill, by the main road just what did i find up there? a huge billboard for Paramount+ of course! someone in P+ has got those Twin Peaks vibes, i just know it. if you're reading this take out the blue square! more dreamy melatonin visuals plz

zeff/ilqx, right? i tend to just treat his posts as shitposts, or maybe very exotic delusions. it's easier to pass them by when you that basically everyone here sees ilqx for what he is - someone loud, full of bullshit, who clearly is not interested in improving their perspective. the stuff he says can be so emotive and provocative that sometimes you can't help being pissed off. i used to have a problem with certain political subjects getting under my skin, but i've learned to let that stuff slide when i use the internet (after all, i don't come to an IDM forum for heavy politics ?) also remember that on his end, there definitely is a sense of being emotive with subjects getting under his skin. he's really invested in that stuff in that unhealthy internet way, that's what keeps him going. just don't get sucked into those bad vibes and you'll be fine.

my guy couldn't find any digital tracks. managed to get hold of a cassette but he's having trouble connecting a tape player walkman to a bluetooth headset, also he keeps asking me if "auto stop" will somehow erase the tape.

just in case you haven't already - if you're not allowed to talk about the project yourself, make sure someone in your employment can make a record of it. so ask for a letter of recommendation. that way, in the future you'll have something to show for all the work you've done.

been getting freaked out and fucked up about the dementia themed album Everywhere at the End of Time by The Caretaker. not sure whether to start a thread about it, but this has been going on for weeks and it's giving me intrusive thoughts (i get focused on it during the day and i can't get rid of it). i originally gave it a six-hour listen in december, but i'm getting some kind of delayed reaction to it. that shit is really bad for people like me who ruminate on anxious thoughts and get lonely, it's like a movie soundtrack for that particular feeling. if i get the music from Stage Two stuck in my head it can ruin my day. fuck you Leyland Kirby you creative genius.

when AI came out on Warp in 1993 it was all about electronic music that you wern't supposed to dance to - the message printed on the CD, "are you sitting comfortably?" was supposed to suggest to people that even though this was electronic music with beats, you could listen to it without being on a dancefloor filled with people - this was music you could appreciate in its own right, like classical music, something you'd sit down and listen to. is there an established genre based on this concept in 2022? or do people still think that music with electronic sounds must be dance music?
