  1. so did anyone get my extremely dry sarcastic remark about wap?
  2. when Warp20 was being compiled in 2009 there was a website created for fans to vote on their favourite tracks. you could choose ONE track per artist, and Plaid's Top 10 was flooded with tracks from Double Figure. Eyen was the track that got released on the final comp, representing Plaid.
  3. since this auction ended, the seller's feedback has reduced to 80% (from 83%) and the shipping date has moved from "June 15th to 16th" to "June 18th to 21st". today is the 16th. the auction had one bid. holy lawd this is the worst thing since that kickstarter with ren and stimpy guy. meanwhile, there are eleven copies of the Drukqs limited 180g vinyl boxset on discogs, which you can get for under 500 quid. why not waste your money on something loud? ???
  4. cheers to another year of getting cozy with headphones and classic BoC! been really, really digging this old tunes track with the June 9th beats all layered together. they had a real talent for getting chill vibes out of these textures (also: great fan video as always)

  6. can't believe i missed this live ? but this is awesome! can't wait to watch these through
  7. i would've done the same thing man, look at this shit! "what, autechre? oh there's no way any of us have heard of autechre, these electronica records are all called ADEPTA and we totally invented putting AE in little black letters on the labels" related: "artificial intelligence"
  8. do you have any advice for a man approaching 30 who mainly uses watmm for his social activities? i've always avoided social media, and there have been large gaps in my life where watmm was literally my only outlet. where do you get it from? you've been getting dick?
  9. next time i hear someone say "he's packing", in any sentence, i'll think of this. thanks.
  10. do you ever worry that you don't have much in common with people who share your interests? i've been revisiting The Caretaker's Everywhere at The End of Time and it's cool and all, but i don't really feel "with it" with the other folks who're listening to it. actually just fuck discord altogether tbh.
  11. i'm 83.3% sure this is the real deal. positive.
  12. these guys know how it's done ? https://www.discogs.com/release/849367-Autechre-Autechre-1 https://www.discogs.com/release/849368-Autechre-Gescom-Autechre-2-1994-1999
  13. so yesterday Google honoured The Great Gama with a little drawing of him on the logo (the big strong guy). never heard of him until now, but he is in fact one of the strongest men who ever lived! he was an undefeated wrestling champion, who fought and won over 5000 matches during his career. he is known to have lifted a stone weighing 1,200lb by himself. even his training routine holds a legendary status amongst athletes such as Bruce Lee - a routine involving 5,000 squats and 3,000 pushups, all done as slowly as possible over many hours, and also while holding a 100kg ring. seriously, this stuff is mind-boggling. i can't find a decent youtube video about Gama but here's a brief documentary from BBC Radio which is worth listening to: GreatLives-20190101-NikeshShuklaOnTheUndefeatedMuslimWrestlerTheGreatGama.mp3
  14. just gonna drop this here in case it arises: Quaristice.Quadrange.ep.ae is not an album and not an EP - it is four EPs. it was released as a series of 4-track bundles Quaristice.PPP9.ep.ae = tracks 1 to 4 Quaristice.9T9P.ep.ae = tracks 5 to 8 Quaristice.c9Pn.ep.ae = tracks 9 to 12 Quaristice.Subrange.ep.ae = track 13 some reports state that it's "an EP more than two hours in length" but Quadrange is just a name for the full collection. it's like calling Analord an "EP". lol.
  15. i remember wayyyy back in the day someone on another message board listened to MfM and said "track 5 makes me need to pee whenever i listen to it". come to think of it... could this track be the real "Mr. Tickle"? from Mike P lol i just dug up the interview to get this quote, there's your answer. is there a track which is even more tickely than MfM track 5???
  16. i like getting my blood pressure checked, and feeling the cuff squeezing my arm.
  17. ^word up, that whole yt channel is a fucken goldmine there's been a lot of buzz (over the years) around rdj archiving his cassette tracks and getting them mastered and publicly released. i'm starting to wonder what kind of format he'll use, because it's just occured to me that there has never been a release by rdj which is solely aimed at collecting old material. i think SAW85-92, itself, is the only exception to this. we've had compilations like Classics and Caustic Window (which are both reissues of tracks already available) and the 2000 reissue of SOSW had two new tracks. obviously the digitals store came with lots and lots of bonus tracks, which were tacked onto pre-existing albums. so what would it look like? this is a project very, very personal to rdj and the longer it takes him to make up his mind, the longer we'll have to wait...
  18. set your washing machine to "drum wash", if it hasn't been used for a long time. it'll sort out any unpleasantness and you'll be good to go.
  19. this is really really fun to listen to. lulzy on the surface but very well produced - he did a great job getting all the subtly tricky choral/tonal changes to layer together. that tiny little melody @5:02 is awesome...
  20. even crazier when you're watching a CRT tv set and it fucking degausses itself in front of you because theirs is behind the wall, and they've switched it on. happier times.
