  1. If anyone wants to remix me, let me know which track you have in mind, and I'll put a remix pack up, it can be any track at all by me. I'll also supply Buzz files if you're that way inclined. Also, I had an idea, if anyone's interested: I have a lot of nice little loops made in Buzz that I can't do anything with at all, soon I will obtain hosting so I can upload these little Buzz files for people randomly, to remix or complete.
  2. Thanks! Yeah I agree it doesn't sound very much at all like the original, so I'm going to change the name when it's released in Ep form. I pretty much played some guitar chords over the original melody, and then slowed it down to half the speed, so it's kinda unrecognizable hehe.
  3. Not necessarily my favourite albums (well except the Peter Gabriel one) but these are all albums I can enjoy all the way through.: Peter Gabriel - So .. I know, not ten tracks, but its godamn grand anyway.. Sounds awesome on vinyl too! Genesis - Selling England By The Pound .. Also not ten tracks, but yes! Excellent. A Perfect Circle - Mer De Noms Mr Bungle - Disco Volante .. Even though it is sonically all over the place, I never skip a track when listening to it, it sounds weird when listened to in pieces. Tucker B's - Chubby Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine .. Actually every proper album before the latest one has been perfect. I'd also say Loveless but I really don't like "Touched" .. Just sounds out of place.
  4. This is really excellent! I've been really getting into this style of music lately, as my latest tracks kinda show, heh.. The drum solo is great!
  5. Thanks! Yeah, that was quite unintentional, I wrote the chord progression late last year, and bought Government Commissions a couple of months ago, and then thought 'Ah, godamn!' when I heard Cody and New Paths To Helicon Pt.1 .. Ah well, I hope I won't get too much criticism about the track being a Mogwai clone, I'm gonna finish it anyway, since I've dedicated myself to writing so much for it!
  6. Thanks! I'm probably going to record some more on the weekend.
  7. http://members.westnet.com.au/yokine/track...uick%20demo.mp3 Basically this is a song that I've had floating around in my head for about six months, there was an early version in Buzz but it didn't sound right, so tonight I decided to see what it would sound like with a more live band sound. Everything in this recording was played by me, my skills on the drums are still a little substandard but I think I'm getting better! There are other sections and melodies written for this, but this little snippit was all I had time to record. Perhaps on the weekend I'll be a little more productive. I predict this is going to be another long track like Plasma Cuts, possibly around the ten minute mark, I've just written so many different permutations for it, though maybe I should keep it to the best parts..
  8. Yes, I am indeed in Yokine. I'm too old for school, I work in the city. Ps. Track works for me! Excellent, I'll check them out! The other guitarist/drummer in the band is selling me a homemade Big Muff clone, which does sound awesome.
  9. Thanks for the listens! I'm/we're working on an Ep of similar stuff, it's mostly going to be 'covers' of my usual Modex tracks. I guess I'll post them as they become available! Also, the reason for the "I'm/we're" part is because this mp3 was entirely recorded by me, I'm in the process of teaching my band how to play it, ahah. Ah, one more thing, in response to iep: Yeah, the guitar distortion is a little weird, I used Reason distortion and reverb on it, I'm still getting money together for some decent hardware guitar effects.
  10. http://members.westnet.com.au/yokine/track...asma%20Cuts.mp3 It took a long time but I'm really happy with the result. PS. Hello!

  12. http://s19.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1YC1VE8...I928Y9RI8HH9LZW Thirds Acid! Kinda could be passed off as 'new industrial' if it was a bit faster and more distorted I guess!
  13. You know, the Analord series doesn't make sense unless you play them all at the same time.
  14. It should be also noted that there were a lot more girls at the Kid606 gig later on in the year. Although, this could be because, according to my girlfriend at the time, he's "a bit of alright".
  15. Nah, we were pretty much right up the front, in the centre..
  16. I've got the Perth set around here somewhere, not a soundboard though.. It was freakin' awesome, it included a version of Windowlicker with additional glitching.. The guy in front of me was doing all these moves along to the glitches hehe.. Actually, so was I heh.. By the end it just got so fast that everyone had to dance half-time to it, Zole`.

  19. I'm drunk. It all comes down to what you feel comfrtable wiht. I feel comfortable with buzz.. If you feel comfortable with buzz, I suggest you stick with it. But yeah like i said in the previous fourm, Ableton is good if ouy want to do live stuff.. I have only used it to compile loops live, not to do 'sequencing'.. so something~!
  20. Actually, Audible is still very much unfinished.. Mercury and Not For still need guitars.. But thanks for the advice!
  21. My ex's cat, I'm taking care of him for a year though.
