  1. i was trying to message my wife a picture of our son from my macbook today and when the webcam came on it was pointing at me. i found the experience to be unnerving.
  2. This, and... how dare you I agree with Limpy. There is some cool shit about some of it, but in general it's hard for me to take seriously. ...why does it have to be taken seriously? it's gold. ridiculous, over-the-top, fun brilliance.
  3. it doesn't really show any signs of slowing, at least ratings-wise: http://variety.com/2014/tv/news/amcs-walking-dead-still-a-ratings-monster-opposite-olympics-1201095966/
  4. boy, they're really stepped up the schmaltzy military propaganda this year.
  5. to be fair, i remember seeing a video montage somewhere that showed every president since fdr saying the same, hollow sentiments in every state of the union. it's a pointless exercise, a waste of time and tax dollars. i mean the state of the union, not the presidency. i think.
  6. can you point me in the right direction?
  7. i'm not sure what he was going for there, he must know better than that?
  8. One of these things is not like the other. i was going to post this exact response last night. the anti-degrasse tyson sentiment has exploded in the last 6 months or so, i'm not sure why (i'm sure someone here will explain it to me)
  9. That looks like one of those photoshops where the face (eyes, nose, mouth) is minimized. It is - here's the original pic: haha. i feel bad for child actors in general, but he always had an odd face, even in his earliest films.
  10. what purpose did having duft punk there serve? did they do anything? were those knobs and buttons connected to anything? pharrel can't sing. grammys thank god for his hats though.
  11. it's not really a true kit though, is it? i mean there's no soldering, so that part of it wouldn't reduce the cost too much, plus last year's was a mini, while this is full-sized. still too expensive though, certainly out of my range.
  12. i'm on my second listen to pt 3, and it's really great. at this point i do prefer it to pt. 2, but i've only listened to that once through. i don't see human league listed as a source, but the track that samples "sound of the crowd" is my fav right now (that is where that's from, right?) loving both parts though, most of it is great driving music, all of it is simply great!
  13. mine sound fantastic, and pt 3 is great so far, i'm about half way through it. :music: ! quality product, i'm glad i snared a binder!
  14. thought i'd avoid a new thread, this sounds interesting (to me, at least, i was huge roses fan back in the day): http://www.slicingupeyeballs.com/2013/11/29/flaming-lips-stone-roses-record-store-day/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+SlicingUpEyeballs+%28slicing+up+eyeballs%3A+%2780s+college%2C+indie%2C+alternative+rock+music%29
  15. can't you open a bank account in [canadian city i can't recall], send him an atm/debit card? there may be fees, but you can just deposit where you are and he can withdraw where he is? don't atms work across the border? maybe there's even one that doesn't have fees if you keep a certain balance?
