  1. This is like 70% of you doodz: http://www.billboard.com/files/media/giorgio-moroder_bb14-2015-billboard-01-450.jpg
  2. The tail flop at the very end always gets me Crazy how modern peoples can refer to something that was experienced from a "virtual space"... and other people remember it. Internet is much like psychic abilities and living next-level shit, in that, the potential of the internet is basically the ether, and computers+users (computer and user operating the device equal one thing) are basically the human body. So what comes to light is that the internet is an alternate visual analogy of how humans live through time. By becoming stronger through the internet, people can gain the confidence- by learning the analogy- to get the most of their physical potential through this "physical world". Social networking and forums have created a system to expand consciousness. If anyone has any ideas how to somehow achieve this with e-commerce, please let me know. Massive blisst.io updates coming next month.

  4. +1 Question for the class. Favourite reverb hardware? I've used a Strymon blue sky for a bit but sold it. Looking back that was a grave error. Waaat... Somehow I felt Strymon (and I suppose neunaber immerse ting) pedal users were life users, but I guess not. Software convolution reverbs are nutz, so that's my favorite type. Only hardware I've owned are current Behringer RV600 pedal (great bang for buck), and a Digitech rack unit like 15+ years ago (which had a few lush presets). Back then, I really wanted a TC Electronic M-One, which sounded luuush... It seems like technology is so hardcore now, that any reverb hardware is good. And then it's like, even the most "digital sounding" 90's reverbs are cool, so I suppose... -Is it possible that NO reverb unit or effect is bad?!
  5. RAS Reverb Acquisition Syndrome Reverb is truly an incredible tool for sound. It's embedded in our DNA~!
  6. But memories also change. If I were to take a swing at why it happens, I'd say that due to reality being merely a projection of consciousness, as consciousness changes, reality itself changes. But all the information of environment and whatnot are intertwined, so sometimes when one makes massive consciousness changes (fundamental character changes, like being angry and hateful, to loving and caring), certain related data gets necessarily changed. Bareraisisinstein Bears is one kind of thing, but there are TONS of other things that most people don't notice, like changes in plants' positions, a person who lived in the city not living there anymore, etc. Sometimes all of a sudden you notice something, but everyone else says it's always been there.
  7. I recently bought Reface CP for pianoish playing, but I used to have an 88 key Yamaha digital piano, in the $1,000 range. I chose it because it had the heaviest key action, and it was fucking nuts. Made my MIDI keyboard feel like a lil' bitch. After practicing on the piano, my MIDI keyboard felt like air. But DOOODZ... Have any of you played a Rhodes?! Motherfucking sooo lush, man. The tactile feedback of the whole system is an experience in itself. Vintage Vibe is also an option, but I seriously gotta up my chops if I'm gonna invest like $7000. I better be Stevie Wonder if I'm paying that kind of money to just jam in the corner.
  8. Recently bought a pen vape for dry, which I ended up giving to a friend. But what's really quite interesting about it is, if you vape first, then roll up the already vaped bud (yah yah AVB, not just for cooking), holy FUCK, the experience is totally different. Does this have to do with decarboxylation or whatever, I dunno, but it hits much harder in the stone department and goes deeep..... Also, just the vaping itself is more flavorful and high is SUPER CLEAN. But still, I do prefer spliffage. I still have never used a $127,000 volcano. I bet the experience is even more... clean? Sci-fi feeling?
  9. All of a sudden this is a Mac thread, but: My work computer that I'm typing this message on right now is a used Early 2008 Mac Pro that I picked up for less than $400. Upgraded to 32 GB RAM, SSD for main, HDD for other tingz... but I gotta setup redundant RAID on this thing... 3TB HDDs are so cheap now, wtf. Sweet.
  10. Yah, I got the Reface CP primarily for the Rhodes sounds, but the variation that's possible with all the effects surprised me. The delay section is especially good for craziness. With combination of delays and external reverb, I've gotten a lot of synthy sounds, as well. I've been looking for a keyboard to just jam out on, and the Reface CP hits the spot for me (still haven't connected external midi controller). Really happy about it!
  11. Discussions where people are debating abstract concepts of mental inner-workings can be quite difficult! It's like in meditation, where high levels of "focus" can be achieved by relaxing and taking in as much as possible, which allows one to react immediately- but the problem lies in concepts like "focusing", where there are traditional images of great mental fatigue. So all these fucking crazy abstract concepts are crazy! Like I agree with your point AND the drummer. Drummer felt that the next-move was a conscious decision- you felt that the next-move was more subconscious. Cuz when I'm improv'ing and "consciously feel out the next-move", it actually does go well, but I believe that there is maybe very little "conscious planning" involved (it just feels very conscious), so both of you really are correct, for me. Overall, though, you pick up a guitar and rock it. I know this "is a joke", but if it's true, you should share your creations with as many people as possible. Art that has been created from pure states of high consciousness, transfer pure states of high consciousness to others.
  12. More GAS potential fuel.....: Roland announcing FOUR DRUM MACHINES this week. DA FUQ?! ...and 10 other shits. Maybe "drum machines" are just synth drum kits... Or could it be the ever-wanted analog 808/909/303 Roland remakes?! ReBirth analog hardware version: $150, somehow. Everyone in the world's asshole explodes from pleasant surprise.

  14. Yeah, the time to think about it is before you start working on it and after you're done and are sifting through the results. While you're actually working there's no time to thing, you've got to just react. At least that's how it has always worked for me. Or as an old jazz guy I took lessons fro years ago said put it, when you make music you have to bring more than you need (i.e. all of your ideas, skill and experience) and the real artistry is in what you DON'T use. He was talking about improvisation with other people but so much of making electronic music is improvising against the real-time feedback from the machines you use and refining it incrementally that I think it's a relevant way of looking at it it here, too. That's really good... It's also good as a justifcation for spending money you can't really spare on gear you don't actually need too, unfortunately. Literally bringing more than you need. His other really good one was that you can think of creativity and technical ability as two different lines on a graph or thermometers or something (I forget the specific visual metaphor, but the point was that you think of them as two quantities) that both rise at different speeds depending on what you're focused on at the time. If you're having a lot of ideas but struggle to actually realize them it means you should focus on developing technique, if you're playing (or producing or whatever) well but aren't that inspired by what you're playing you can forget about technique for a while and focus on writing and ideas. When both are at about the same level, that's when you will do really good work and that's the zone you want to be in as much as possible. It sounded a lot better the way he said it. Great stuff. I feel like I want to put these on a poster or something, cuz they are very powerful reminders. I've taken screenshots, but man... these are things that a lot of us have learnt over the years, but I still want to be reminded several times per day. VERY IMPORTANT. Totally related: In recent times I've realized that when practicing (training) guitar, I should listen to myself in 3rd person to best develop tight technique. When improv'ing or "performing", let go of everything and connect/play with the heart. If technical skill has been built up with the 3rd person tight technique, then all movements should automatically follow those routes and be tight. "Let go" and "focus" are both needed, but at different times.

  16. If anyone's into the MPC shuffle, you can download MPC groove templates for Logic HERE. You have to open the file, copy the folder containing midi data to a song you're working on (or start from scratch), select those midi regions, on the left side under Quantize select "Make Groove Template", theeen, under Quantize the MPC shuffles with be available... Yah. But you have to keep those midi files in the song file to keep the MPC settings under the Quantize menu, so it might be more convenient to make a template with the groove templates already loaded.
