  1. Looking forward to this during some late-night listening. I think I was a bit hasty in ditching the cardboard mailer though, or maybe keeping it would've been a little too anal even for me.
  2. Please tell me you're going to go to this (and tell your co-workers why). I was a bit disappointed when the vinyl turned up today. Gatefold sleeve is OK, but cramming 4 records into it? For £30 I was expecting some kind of Exai-ish box.
  3. It is indeed. Had no idea that it would be included, almost bent the Jiffy bag in half when I picked it up from Parcel Force. I've had quite a few little freebies chucked in with my Warp CDs from HMV Japan over the past few years.
  4. The last one is just a double sided thing. All in Japanese but appears to be a brief annotated discography. EDIT: Sorry, the first one.
  5. Japanese CD arrived today, came with a nice little slipcase to house this and the previous albums. Pity Bleep don't do little things like that anymore since they transformed from WarpMart.
  6. Love this album. Hardly a million miles from VHS Head (I like how Skam stress that this album isn't him), but somehow more accessible and fun (I love VHSH btw). And it would be nice if the KMAS releases could make a reappearance now that the Skassette is back...
  7. I like the strings, but the guitar is awful. Sounds like a half-pissed Hank Marvin who forgot to plug into his amp. And on a side note, fuck it if it's heresy but I've always found the intro to the original tedious and over-long.
  8. I wouldn't be too suprised if the non-album tracks were issued in Japan on CD, seeing as the Eraser Rmxs and b-sides were. Hardly a cheap solution for most people though.
  9. Caribian is a bloody lovely track. My only quibble about this whole release is the sleazy clown on the front cover.
  10. not to be a cunt (not intentionally at least ) but you say this as if it's objective. It's not respected by quite a few folks I'm kind of assuming you mean that the label as it is today is not respected? Surely while Ivo was at the helm all those years you have to give them credit for their single-mindedness and the influence of so many of the artists on their old roster, even if they weren't to your taste? i have no idea who Ivo is, no sir i dont like it You're the last person who I believe would ever troll on this forum, so... are you being serious (about Ivo, that is)?
  11. I'm a noob compared to everyone else here, I only took an interest when Ampexian came out and backtracked from there. I still love Ampexian and Forest of Oversensitivity, Meditation on Meditations is pretty decent too. The only album I've yet to like is The Only She Chapters. I'm clearly on my own in liking the Diamond Watch Wrists album though.

Without seeing this thread earlier I just burned quadrange to four CDrs, looking forward to listening to them as the non-BleepEPs. I remember it was quite a buzz downloading the whole thing in instalments.

  14. Got wind of this through his Facebook page and preordered without thinking. I just hope I can resist blowing up the free balloon.
  15. Anything lost on the NME fuckfaces is fine by me (I say that as an ex-reader of the paper of old, I remember how they drooled over Surfer Rosa when it came out). Bagboy is far from the Pixies' best but infinitely better than any shit those cunts are liable to spunk over from today's trendy and clueless no-hopers.
  16. The Whip isn't on the album, couldn't resist the leak! Got the album on per-order, and picked up the digital Red Wing for the bonus track. Really is a great album... Terrible cover though. Got the CD today, and fuck me what an album. 'Stalker' is incredible, been playing the crap out of that all day. Hate to have to agree that the artwork is dire (as opposed to Street Horrrsing and Tarot Sport, which I loved), but I forgive them. Really up for seeing them play here in a few months time.
  17. That moment in New Family is spine chilling. And around the 5:55 in Superpositions, goosebumps every time even now. Come to think of it, I can't think of many artists who create these breaking points as well as Plaid.
  18. CD arrived today. Comes in a double-digipack.
  19. Just so long as he never appears in public with a sock on his cock.
  20. I always buy from HMV Japan. I usually end up paying around £25 or a bit more, never had a moment's trouble from them. My advice though, if you do order both albums don't buy them together or you'll probably have your stuff held to ransom by HM Custom and be forced to pay extra duty before picking them up. I might have had to do that with Exai (can't remember for sure) as it cost a bit more.
  21. Seems a bit excessive to lift a third track from the album, and Before Your Very Eyes seems like one of the least suitable tracks. Surely Ingenue would've been a better choice? Ordered the 12" regardless though, Magic Beanz is pretty decent and I love the AFP packaging.
  22. Good spot. I'm a Robert Altman fan and had Streamers on VHS yonks ago but still never picked up on where that had been lifted from.
