  1. i clicked this link, downloaded a dmg file, which opened a "Downloader" image and then something else, but ultimately didn't get anything. what am i doing wrong? sorry. Thanks bud!
  2. wait so is this unreleased? is it an anonymous (and er, "losing" so to speak) submission to a remix competition?
  3. thanks! Yes, Looks like Moodular acid and Pissflaps mix are the same track yes, right! lol sorry! ;-)
  4. i thought i had all of them, including the deleted ones, but i have 108. so is there a link to the whole shebang? ah jeez. i guess ill just figure out which 3 i'm missing.
  5. Hey, so is this the first mention of this whole thing??! Is the Timothy Forward the champion of WATMM?
  6. me and aphex woke up at the same time! maybe we're watching the same thing with our kids oh yeah he's in scotland.
  7. looks great. i'm gonna use it! love it! how do i put the afx logo in pictures? i want to have multiple albums with different pics from the soundcloud but all with the afx logo
  8. going through them for the 2nd and 3rd time now and of course keeping up as best i can. 3 gerald remix might be in my aphex top 10. so many gems!!!! ah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what is going to happen when we get to Drukqs era?!?!? i'm going to have to leave work!!!!
  9. don't wanna jinx this, but should we start guessing the number of tracks? :)
  10. just wanted to second this sentiment. at 64 tracks we're at what? 5-6 albums worth of material i would have probably paid $21.99 for each. i mean, that's a significant chunk of change for me. like, it would be irresponsible and indulgent for me to buy all that. i'd love to hear what warp thinks of all this. this is tons of money that isn't going to them and is staying with fans. it's an AFX STIMULUS PACKAGE!
  11. anyone recognize this stuff from elsewhere? i mean, we're going to start getting tons of fakes. jaspmf: how did you find this? jesus fucking christ. how deep is this rabbit hole?
  12. oh no, its gone?! is someone saving all these to a zip please?
  13. i overindulged on syro and had to put it down for a bit. i loaded up my phone with Drukqs and it made me so happy. going back to if after syro is pretty neat-- i think the Drukqs tracks on syro (i.e. the second half) are awesome but not as good as the speed demons on drukqs. the piano stuff and chiller tunes are wonderful. if you haven't listened to it in while, go check it out it. it's a masterpiece.
  14. hey cult fiction. that's your minipops reconsutrciton in your sig? v nice joyb.
  15. for anyone already nostalgic for the great days of anticipation, i wrote this article when we were still pining for hints. WATMM and AFX after jason (and i) did that youtube trick i tried to write up a quick story about this board and AFX hype and bla bla bla and send it around to various online outfits. i didn't get any bites, but of course a few sites snapped up the preview trick and presented it without proper footnoting. oh well.
  16. noticed that too. anyone know why?
  17. don't know how to quote from another thread but here's what JR said: "What Richard needs is someone trustworthy with a good ear/understanding of his music to go through his archives, and do a few rounds of selections, get back to Richard, have Richard select the ones he feels meet his standards, etc. - I don't know if anyone at WARP currently has the history with his music capable of doing such a thing, and I think Richard has very high standards when it comes to his music, so I doubt he'd feel comfortable having anyone but himself doing that." This is a great idea. i understand that for RDJ, slogging through unreleased material, and if we're to believe him, it's a colossal amount, would be tiresome. This strategy gets the music out AND rewards one superfan (I nominate myself :) and symbolically rewards all us superfans. AND FOR THE SAKE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD AND TRUE make the badger still-life the back cover. http://forum.watmm.com/topic/84826-aphex-twin-melodies-from-mars/page-5#entry2227536 Hint?
  18. i'm having a stupid problem with Syro. Like a good % on this board, I try my hand at IDM. Of course I'm not very talented and dont have the scratch for decent gear, but I try, I try. It's all slightly embarrassing. Anyway, I can't stop trying to figure out tracks on Syro. This leads me to looping one measure at a time and breaking it down and trying to rebuild it Reason or something like that. I wake up in the middle of the night with basslines in my head like a fever dream. I imagine others here have encountered this problem-- should i take a few days off from Syro? I realize this all sounds silly but it's making it hard for me to just enjoy this thing.
  19. was feeling the same way borys until i played the whole album out loud (not in headphones). the crazy second half ones are too tough in headphones for me. you let them out into the open and they run around the room and are a joy to watch and not inspect. I feel the same, but mainly about the last half of Syro. I really love the first 5 tracks and the last one.
  20. Played it for my 3-month old whose favorite music is my wife singing about the plants or her socks or whatever. When EVET going, the baby went ABSOLUTELY NUTS, un unprecedented display of sustained and deep joy. She and I are going to hear this album a million more times, but so far it's just wonderful. I reviewed it for some homies, fringe Aphexers, with this: "IT WAS ALL WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!! BEACH BREEZES! BEER! BACK DUNKS! TWIN PEAKS! BABY CHICKENS! GLORY AND LOVE" too much?
  21. MAYBE SCOTTISH IND VOTE IS PART OF VAST SYRO PR CONSPIRACY?!? WE NEED TO TAKE ANOTHER LOOK AT THAT BAR CODE!
  22. If I could make decisions for Warp I would ABSOLUTELY release download links to preorderers as soon as it leaked. I imagine impatient people who have ordered or intend to order will download the leak if they think their purchased release isn't coming for a few days. Even if you torrent the thing and close the file as soon as you finish, you will be seeding. That means more nodes spreading the thing. If you release files to purchasers, you inoculate a group of listeners, and the files will stop there. Now, maybe this group of listeners is very small, but I think it's possible they will drive the early spread, which, of course, will grow quickly and establish a base from which the large amounts of less-interested folks can download freely. Of course none this may matter because, the internet, but Warp should at least endeavor to please its dedicated customers because those are the folks keeping purchased music alive.
