  1. its pressed , shipped now, heheh, u want a fix - how could i sort that 4u. or meowbouwbouwbouwbouwbouw...
  2. ok, thanks too. catch us next time if were local i guess…… :)
  3. yeah out of the detroit lot, they were the first for me, to show how 'dizzy' they could get their funk, like mad mike had the funk but really fast and quite pneumatic sort of tight, and juan with his shaky proper dance club stuff, but drexciya, were super wet sounding with the ms20 type of sound they went for more often. rubbery, and yeah i really went for the overseeing nobility they played with as characters.
  4. octarene, its the colour Bola used to classify as that colour greenandpurple u see in your closed eye when yr tripping, but i see it anytime i want now. Bola took that colour from a book of the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. And it's spelled octarine. yeah i think he likes Pratchett.
  5. 1 no i haven't, i didn't know they got acoustic setup there. ok cool, 2 i never used SC. no good at coding really.
  6. dunno, haven't been played any - detroit guy right? . sorry any good suggestions?

  8. Favourite episode of "the trap door" ? a useful one def, but i like them all really - a lot Haha, me too. Did you miss my 1st Q or is it unworthy / already answered in the thread (thought I'd read the whole thing) no i hadn't used trackers b4 renoise….. i badly missed out.
  9. Good luck Vivian . if u are going into labour, play only our softer tunes to newb on arrival ok? take it easy rB) æ
  10. Modey's done a bloody ace go at recreating the process here - http://forum.watmm.com/topic/30105-fold4wrap5-how-its-done-discussionarguments-thread/ yeah pretty close, not bad at all modey yep. funny hearing it by someone else, strange feeling, well dunz
  11. 1 yeah loads 2 i keep my NMv1 v close. 3 you'll sort it i'm sure 4 yeah loads
  12. mpc1000 with akai os preinstalled probably…. due to completely wasted potential - boring eh
  13. really not feeling the kazoo in here or the washboard stuff - thats totally wack, but the carpenter esque stuff with mellotronage at the beginning is nice - overall comes over as knowingly bad goofy. some sounds in it are good - like deep acoustic percs, but its not really focussing on any in particular, like needlessly switching to the wrong instrument every time i notice a good bit. seems like they're not 100% sure what they like imo. cheers Rob, interesting views on these tracks! (tbh i'm not into music making at all, and ehm.. know very little of the technical stuff behind the process. but I really appreciate your thoughts and opinions, very interesing). . oh.. and ehm.. feel free to consider providing something on the other q's to in my post, I'm really curious about the pule track for instance! :) oh and one more thing, I'm sure many in here are curious about this: *** drumroll please *** who would win a match of arm wrestling between Rob and Sean?? and a match of pool (8-ball, etc)?? sorry for all the nagging, I'm just very eagerly excited about the fact that I'm even having an interaction with the mighty AE! it feels strange kinda... in a good way of course! yeah ok, sorry if i was too nitpicky - hot/cold those trax. oops but yeah re: norway 'pule' - its quite a slinky number too so could be deployed to good use? funny someone posted that æ means 'I' in finnish was it? so yeah theres probably a few i think seans lower arms more chunky so i'd put money there if i were u. i might win pool. we'll run that test next outing and report.
  14. Come on, chaps oh happy birthday max (is that ok?) sorry i was thrown by 'my S.O' what is it, i'm melting Autechre say hi, happy birthday Max, and many happy returns too. i like john berkey a lot, i like how he manages to convey scale but using really vague strokes, think he's a bit of a genius actually and i really like syd mead and jean giraud as well yeah we make tracks for ourselves all the time but sometimes i expressly make say a hip hop track or a straight 4/4 techno track, but i usually get bored before i finish them i dunno how other people get anything like that finished tbh massive, you're a Moebius/giraud-fan just looked up john berkey, looks very nice yeah a real dark horse. Robert Mcall is another nice style - pen/inky for sci fi illustrating, but Berkey is top acrylic

  16. Yeah, I was spending some time on writing the questions, making it compact, but there comes a moment where i just say "fuck it" and press send. I'll try to rewrite it to it's core: 1-bis) Can you name the biggest notable differences in crowd mentalities at Autechre gigs between Europe, Asia, and America? 3 where Renaat R&S told us we should definitely rethink about releasing some tracks, after seeing us live, on our post Incunabula / Basscadet timed tour. What did he mean by that? Did he mean, "Release some tracks on R&S, pretty please?" Or did he mean "If I were you I would think twice before ever releasing this stuff I just heard" ? actually he meant, hey you guys do good tracks you should put some out.
  17. we might but noel never does, all he ever does is roll off a tiny bit of bass (we have smaller speakers than him) more from releases but touring doesn't make a lot of money for us cos of all the expenses, we like it like that tho one off gigs are a lot more profitable than both What kind of monitors have you guys been using recently? dynaudioacoustics
  18. 1 edit, was thinking of someone else 2 yeah that does ring a bell, mbe someone heard us say it there as a joke, cos i don't think we left any notes there with it written or anything. 3 deadpool
  19. 1 it differs, we just need to get the right spaces/people/mood ratio right and it can go anywhere really. there are exceptions here n there. 2 yeah belgian crowds are cool, as in, they do it properly in all contexts, be it at a botanical garden, or the First Techno Club in belgium (FUSE) 3 where Renaat R&S told us we should definitely rethink about releasing some tracks, after seeing us live, on our post Incunabula / Basscadet timed tour. 4 heheheh ok were there already are we?
