  1. yeah i like avocado, esp with a bit of soy sauce, sesame seeds, and some foil cooked salmon so, something like that? i'll let you figure out if it needs anything else. you seem experienced at sandwiches
  2. if wigs are available it would have to be fools gold really you mean the stone roses ? yeah
  3. yeah possibly inversely, it's hard to tell really cos i just do whatever feels good on the day, but in my experience the correlation is more direct than inverse. it's rare that if i'm feeling tired and emotional that i'd make a jaunty happy tune. but sometimes i do, so not really, we're attracted to novelty the same way most people are, but maybe personal perception and weird attention to detail means that we can find it in unlikely places sometimes what's a demon? assuming things about other people nah i use whatever feels right, sometimes that's a stock drum sound discovery - it's a bit like, if i see someone else make a discovery, then i'm usually interested in whatever they discovered, but if i see someone who's well trained, i'm not so interested. i mean, cool, you can pole vault or whatever still neutral no - is it spam? no no it's just a track i really enjoy. i don't know the artist at all. it's a weird pop tune that you might like, it's quite original sounding. yeah i bought this it's fuckin great
  4. no ID on that, not sure, is it in a gescom mix? - or u asking if its gescom track, cos its not. According to video info "this was played on there Electronica / Ambient Kiss FM show Manchester in 1995" but the guy isn't sure is it Ae or Gescom and for me it doesn't really matter, was curious if you know something about it, cuz i want it so badly!! Sean pls, maybe you know something no idea what this is one of the other gescom people prob played it but it's almost def not a gescom track
  5. Ace, you're right - When I googled 'Hans-Joachim Roedelius; Über berg und tal' it point to this which credits the track: u sure, i can't play this for some reason, but my copy sounds nothing like the track in the OP cool u found it - its incredible - theres also a track on the album 'auf leisen sohlen' by the same name, lol patchy bastard. i have two versions of selbstportrait with the same listing and different tracks as well
  6. wow i've not had that stuff for ages but you're right it's lush think i'll get some on next shop i've been eating porridge loads over the last few weeks. dunno why, winter childhood association coincidence altho there are other refs to aero-things in our stuff
  7. shit these wizard mixes are solid gold i like mills about 100 times more now
  8. 1) well it wouldn't really be a good idea to say so here if it was true, but even if it were true, how much time do you think we have? it wouldn't be that many would it no idea about richard on that - i mean he does so much stuff i wouldn't put it past him, he's stupidly prolific 2) depends i mean there's usually something on most of the time i'm awake unless i'm watching a film or something. sometimes actively listening but not always 3) yeah there are slight differences, rob prob listens to more soul than me, he's a couple of years older (that's my excuse) that example lolol
  9. u got a link? just to be clear, theres a few geswackers mbe not random, but i had no idea after AU' of the outcome. Was AU meant for Gold, or Astronomical Units, or something else the AU was a reference to a sample on the FZ10, a list of samples we named 'au[insert descriptive]' for sounds that were a like low vocal choir voices sustaining a single note. phonetically speaking it was the sound u would get saying 'or', 'awe' 'au'kland and so on funny/weird how we never released that track not for any reason or anything, just falls in that nether zone
  10. course not, everyone's different i used to think that maybe some people just had different brains or something, but a lot of it is cultural i reckon, as are attitudes to mental health a lot of the time
  11. nah it's not important at all unless you're making stuff yourself and then you might wonder about things but like, i was into music really heavily for years before i know how any gear worked and i still like the same tracks from back then, even knowing loads of things about how they were made, if anything it makes me like them more cos now i know how delicate the balance is and how much taste went into them
  12. hey tears for fears were alright man shout is well heavy does the free market piss me off? i mean, no, i paid top dollar for some of my records, and i can get top dollar back for them later (usually more) them two track names in that discogs post were both collabs with diff people (lol one of them is even named on the record and the title, come on it's not that hard) the other one u can prob figure out by elimination edit: autocarrot
  13. 1) i dunno it depends on whether they could satisfy our backline requirements 2) yeah i remember panasonic had this really loud bass in one track and it made one of the speaker cabs fall onto our mixer, fucked up some of the channels before we played, and then they were laughing about it. it was a bit weakening really, i hadn't thought of them as cunts before that, w/e. cylob and boards were good tho. no recording sorry 3) no clue yet 4) hmm never thought about it but i guess there's a similar greyness to some of the sounds 5) right yeah, we should go thru that folder really. as u can imagine it's a bit long
  14. water music, telemetry tapes, luna park oh a long list i can't rush it into a post unfortunately it would take like a week to compile
  15. ok people i'm running away too don't stay up too late chatting now
  16. i like TH and i'm waiting to see who figures out the samples are the samples from something fairly well-known? nah not really
  17. er hurley probably, at least he's the one i'd be most likely to hang out with the meeting scene when luke doesn't know who he is and yoda's trolling the shit out of him burton's (sorry but that first burton film was ace when it came out, i know it seems a bit shit now) nolan's are like, not serious enough to be seen as serious. they could have been a million times more serious imo. bane was shit as well, sounded like a bad impression of patrick mcgoohan brave new world ipa or ale, but I'm not much into beer, its alright i don't know any but i dunno maybe i just don't think the tastes compliment that well yay, Cheers Sean! - good choice, Hurley is a great lad! I'm a big fan of Locke myself! how do you think they managed to finish up the whole series? - haha yes that's a good Yoda moment, I second that I guess :) btw why do you think Lucas decided to add Jar Jar to the franchise? - Yeah I'm a fan of Burton's universe as well, but I really like them both. Burton's vision still stands the test of time I think. Haha I thought everyone heard a distorted Sean Connery in Bane's voice! - do you think our society today are "progressing" towards Huxley's vision of BnW? Or maybe we are there already more or less? - last dessert you had that gave you pleasant vibes? - what do think of Spielberg's AI? oh and here's a photo of me visiting some folks in Wales over a year ago. me to the right. Any comments? :) argh i don't even know why i carried on watching tbh, they snagged me somehow, it got progressively more weakening, the end was just, oh fuck off i dunno man i can't tell wtf i'm meant to think of the prequels i wonder if he watches them at all i dunno i mean both huxley and orwell nailed some things, but i reckon huxley was more insightful, altho both of them were really a product of the time we have a kind of mixture of bits of both but neither of them really understood what comms was going to end up like i'm not as paranoid about surveillance as a lot of people seem to be tho hmm dunno i don't eat much dessert its years since i had something memorable, and i can't even rem what that was i slightly liked ai - but i saw some of the work chris did for it back when kubrick was doing it, and i wish it had been kubrick basically, it would have fucking owned edit: oh yeah nice shirt
  18. i like TH and i'm waiting to see who figures out the samples Well, psn already suggested Personal Jesus and made some "proof" mix for it. yeah but he's wrong
  19. argh i have no idea sounds like the kind of thing watmm should decide i mean that's always how it works irl isn't it, some actor gets picked and the actual person groans when they read the news story telling them ken loach did a decent job of raining stones tho, that was set in my home town actually you could just throw that into premiere and do some head swaps
  20. they probably paid for a blanket license, which means they can use stuff when they want within some stipulated limits and everyone gets a cut depending on something like market share
  21. there's actually a clue out there and i'm waiting to see if anyone notices
