  1. 19 slow early morning clissold is one of the most beautiful tracks he has ever written that ending is incredibly lush
  2. yeah would be interesting to see what people's top 10 are. Mine so far (though yet to rinse through all of them properly): 1. 19 [slo]w early morning clissold sunrise 2. Fork Rave 3. 4 Red Calx[slo] 4. 21 Vtnm2 5. 14 Make A Baby 6. 28 organ 7. 11 Early Morning Clissold 8. 35 Japan 9. 14 07 B 10. 1 Chink 101
  3. those synths sound so Arpanet/Zwischenwelt mid-00's Gerald Donald sound its crazy. yeah, the synth used sounds like the track it could have been written during the Analord phase. Another example of RDJ doing amazing stuff so early on.
  4. 21 Vtmn2 sounds so fresh doesn't like it was made in the early 90s at all
  5. loving 21 Vtnm2 - he's been dropping that in live sets since 2005
  6. for the Americans - it really is worth watching. I'm sure you'll find it on youtube this week. best documentary I've watched in a long time also - nice playlist of music that watmmers will appreciate!
  7. nice use of music; especially Burial in the intro Yes probably one of his darkest ones yet Good breathing spaces in between his narration where abstract bits of footage were used, that were open to intepretation. Those moments were a cool touch to the overall film aesthetic. I rarely find myself disagreeing with his analysis on things. Everything was well-packaged and explained in an accessible way.
  8. His new film, Bitter Lake (2 hours 17 mins), is now available for streaming on BBC Iplayer: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p02gyz6b/adam-curtis-bitter-lake
  9. this is such an epic album, I always have to prepare myself before the full 2 hour session definitely have to be in the right mood for it as well. For me, still one of their best releases so far.
  10. really? why did you rate it so highly? sincerely interested in knowing...
  11. Exodus Gods and Kings 6.5/10 - hardly any emotion or empathy for protagonist Moses - way too violent and bloody for a PG-13/12A - should have been at least a 15 but I suppose Ridley Scott has some influence in getting the certification he needs to make more $ - makes religion and the Christian concept of God even more ridiculous (so atheists will enjoy it for that reason) - some parts where God talks to Moses are laughable/childish - probably one of the worst films Ridley Scott has directed - too much focus on special effects and not enough of an emotional grab. Script and dialogue quite mundane. - baffling as to why Christian Bale saw potential in playing the role of Moses
  12. he has screwed priorities the tax loopholes + banking system needs to be addressed first as much more money can be saved when tackling these problems rather than immigration, which, in the grand scheme of things, isn't a bigger problem financially speaking
  13. you have a beautiful cat verticalhold
  14. he's a fan of burial as well - uses his music a lot
  15. So there are two bits of Adam Curtis news. A new short video was showed on UK television last night within Charlie Brooker's 2014 Wipe: And his latest blog post about his upcoming documentary film, due for an online release on 25th Jan 2015: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/adamcurtis/posts/TRAILER-TRASH
  16. Einstein - "Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind."
  17. I keep returning to this thread to report the news again that I thoroughly enjoy this album and still probably rate it as their best release so far (according to my nervous system).
  18. what a wonderful album returned to it after a 3 month break, and still amazing as ever.
