    If you've had this dream so many times do you recognise that you're in a dream when it's happening? If not you should really learn to lucid dream and do something else in the dream rather than asking the same questions, could be good for you.

    He's one of the few who're very good at maintaining a sense of purpose+direction while piling on the details, it's part of what makes his music a great listen while most of his imitators music is irritating twaddle. His complex stuff isn't layers upon layers of stuff in a big smoushy mess, there's only ever a handful of things at the same time but those things change rapidly. The ear can make sense of that than of 50 sounds at once*. *sometimes 50 things at once is interesting - you can't listen to it all so you have to chose what to pick out (much like listening to the world around you in a busy place) but it's a less coherent listening experience and is v unlikely to sound 'accessible'.

    It's definitely easy to overstuff tracks when you're sat in front of a DAW with an almost infinite amount of tracks and that usually makes the music+sound lose focus.

    This x1000. The music is weak af but she has an interesting(ish) backstory so it was lapped up my hacks and poseurs for a bit. Sophie makes music that only Sophie can, like it or lump it's she's forging her own path and doing so with effort and focus.

    @Enterwellyham: You'll feel better in around a month, just gotta push through it. Re dreams, you're experiencing a REM rebound, I find'em fun (even when unpleasant) but have always liked dreams.

    What if a solar flare wipes out all your digital storage mediums? You'll still be able to listen to these tracks by running your freaky long finger nail through the sensual grooves. It's nice to have a carving of human expression that can be played back mechanically. Don't wanna lower the quality of the pressing by adding more length and having to narrow the grooves.
