  1. It'll either hit the nail on the head or sound like a cheap Tycho or Ten and Tracer knockoff.
  2. Anyone wanna speculate on when Phasia EP will be released?
  3. Michael and Marcus themselves could come forward and claim it's legit and I'd still believe it's fake. I want to believe that nothing pre-Old Tunes is real.
  4. My car just started making grinding sounds whenever I make a left turn and I can't explain it.
  5. Oh hell yeah, new Cylob too? Nice. Cylobian Sunset is one of my favorite albums.
  6. (One two three four five, six seven eight nine ten, Now in spanish and in french...)
  7. Wow, they're all really fucking good. My personal favorites so far have got to be: Skinflex / Fake Sweat / Kilgrimol Dissolve / Shoes for Dinosaurs / Paradise Drive / Making a Monster / The False Eye Closes I look forward to seeing identified samples in the coming weeks, there were a lot of great ones!
  8. This is what I got when I typed in vhshead.bandcamp.com So hopefully! He could just be squatting on the username so no one else uses it. Or it's someone unaffiliated with VHS Head.
  9. Holy shit, this slaps so hard. Mind blowing. Lean Beef Patty, Fentanyl Tester, Kingdom Hearts Key and Jack Harlow Combo Meal. Love the MJ sample on Orange Juice Jones.
  10. I'm wondering if this will just impact their ability to lend out books or if it'll cause the whole site to get shut down. I'm sure it'll impact ebook borrowing and lending in general. Might even impact physical brick-and-mortar libraries too. But I would hope that everything else like public domain books, films, music, etc. wouldn't be affected. I hope. I read further and saw that a lot of the lawsuit had to do with the CDL program they were using. They either got rid of the wait lists or made them more lenient towards how many people were borrowing ebooks at a time during covid. Also side note, author Chuck Wendig threw his support behind the publishing companies and the lawsuit and got bullied so hard he locked his twitter account and issued an apology.
  11. "March 25 (Reuters) - A U.S. judge has ruled that an online library operated by the nonprofit organization Internet Archive infringed the copyrights of four major U.S. publishers by lending out digitally scanned copies of their books." https://www.reuters.com/legal/us-judge-rules-internet-archives-digital-book-lending-violates-copyrights-2023-03-25/ I've been seeing a lot of people talking about this, saying that it'll be the modern Library of Alexandria if archive.org goes under. What's everyone's take on this? Either way, I went and downloaded some Wisp rarities and Sleepy Town Manufacture last night just in case. Anybody got any good recommendations?
  12. It's easy not to buy stuff when you barely make a living wage Very interesting video. Also, that bit at the end about buying new stuff to replace old stuff reminded me of Terry Pratchett's economic Boot Theory: A wealthy man could spend a hundred dollars on a pair of quality boots that last him ten years while a poor man who could only afford cheap boots would end up spending over a hundred dollars in the same amount of time, just replacing boots and still having wet feet. Lately I've noticed that I've been going through a lot of old socks and shirts and underwear very quickly because they keep getting holes in them and wearing out. Things in general don't seem like they're built to last anymore and it fucking sucks.
  13. The guitar was sampled from an acoustic cover of Rhythm is a Dancer by Steven Cossar
  14. The growling about a minute in has got me absolutely hyped. The bit at the end is gold too
  15. I've always been a fan of early Four Tet's use of instruments with electronics.
  16. Kranky got me into Stars of the Lid a long time ago, as well as Tim Hecker and Loscil. https://kranky.bandcamp.com/ Archives is a newer one I've found that showcases some artists that make warm ambient soundscapes. https://archivesdubmusic.bandcamp.com/music A Strangely Isolated Place was a music blog and ambient/idm mix series, then they started putting out records. I'm not sure if they have anything to do with the Ulrich Schnauss album of the same name. https://astrangelyisolatedplace.bandcamp.com/ One of my favorite defunct labels is Benbecula. They were based out of Scotland and put out a lot of experimental ambient, IDM, and folk albums. They also put out a lot of albums by Christ., Ochre, and Frog Pocket. I'd mention Unseen Music but I'm pretty sure it's all just Keith and Hollie Kenniff. Good stuff though. Keeping an eye on this thread
  17. These Jim Henson puppet birds scare the fuck outta me and I love them with all my heart.
  18. Gay cis dude. Got some feminine and masculine traits but I never felt any kind of dysmorphia. The only discomfort I have with my own body is me being a doughy piece of shit. Thought for a short while I might've been ace but I think I'm just exhausted all the time lol.
