  1. the gentleman was a bit meh. guy ritchie hasn't made anything worthwhile for over two decades now.
  2. currently playing the pedestrian on ps5. it's essentially your run-of-the-mill platforming puzzle game, but presented in a really cool way. would recommend!
  3. i saw him in london a week ago. the setlist was around 50% 'again', 50% everything else. and when i say everything else, i do mean everything else. it was way more varied than the last time i caught him. proper career spanning stuff, even going back as far as rifts. the visual aspect of the show was hella mighty too, but i won't spoil. have a good one, brother!
  4. grabbed all the new digitals on bandcamp friday (i ain't much of a tape guy) and it's all sounding mightily exquisite great to have ya back, dave!
  5. i'm glad this exists as it's a nice idea for certain artists who are already fairly prolific, but definitely not a blanket solution. i'd imagine for most artists this would eventually be perceived as a mundane chore.
  6. fuckin ell, they'd throw an absolute shit fit listening to boards of canada
  7. god damn, always forget how much i love this guy's work previews sounding beastly
  8. great track that also spawned this very surreal moment https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1BT4y1P7pG/
  9. solid album. best thing i've heard in a while actually. but def not what i was expecting... i thought the whole thing would go hard as fuck. was hoping this would be an album i could chuck on my headphones while kicking civilians in the fucking chin, and while there are of course some heavy moments, wendorlan was prob the most mental tune here after all. however, on reflection, the variety here is nice. ticks all the boxes. and i've still got nts mix for the chin-kicking so it's a win win
  10. musicbee it's basically itunes with way more functionality
  11. the zone of interest a really well made film. cannot fault the cinematography, score, acting, editing and overall mood... if only it had an actual fucking plot.
  12. ah man, i had that drum machine years ago. that demo takes me right back, thanks for sharing!
  13. one year (and a bit) later... i definitely still rate city planning. played it a number of times since it came out. also, finally listened to die cuts for the first time last week. not as tragic as i'd expected, but still not my cup of piss in all honesty. as for the newer stuff... i quite liked the other two singles they put out for this record, but fishbrain seems pretty uninspired. overall quite keen to hear where the rest of it goes.
  14. dreamfear = crap boy sent from above = decent i gotta say, the production feels ultra lazy at times, particularly on that first track. when i think of classic burial, i always admired how his use of vocal samples was always super considered (pitch, phrasing, etc) and how he managed to bring all these random musical elements together and make it work. now it's just messy and clashy as fuck, like the guy is using a soundboard rather than a sampler. but the second tune is promising. of course, it still suffers from a bit of the ol' lazyitis, but there's more refinement and each segment/movement/whatever has more room to flex. i wouldn't be against an album of this stuff, but he needs to drop the whole '5 song previews in one track' approach that he's been wanking over for the past decade.
  15. i think a couple of folks here have already said it but this definitely feels like a continuation of the legendary nts mix, which i am absolutely here for be up a hello was certainly a step in the right direction after a bit of a lull in his discography, but i always wanted him to take the insanity up a notch. hopefully dostrotime is gonna do just that!
  16. i have since finished these ^ both very good, but that curse finale was next fuckin level wow
  17. currently watching (and very much enjoying) both fargo s5 and the curse latest season of fargo is def the strangest one yet. almost feels lynchian in certain places. can't yet decide where i'd rank it amongst the others, but so far i'm liking it a lot. the curse is absolute dream team territory; safdies, nathan fielder, john medeski/opn, etc. immense vibe on this one that i've never really seen done on tv. i love how wonderfully terrible the main characters are!
  18. love richie's art but def think the tdr one was a better fit for the music reckon it would've suited something like ccai or bblr more
  19. yeah, my vinyl turned up within a few days you still waiting on something?
  20. i think i fell in love with more tracks than entire albums this year, but i'll list some nice records anyway... top 3 lps: umo - v opn - again king gizz - petrodragonic apocalypse honourable mentions: knower - knower forever andre 3000 - new blue sun yves tumor - whateverthefuckitscalled
  21. i'm signed up to the afx store with 3 email accounts. i got the first email at 18:07 gmt, the next at 18:21, then the last at 19:14, so it was definitely (unfairly) staggered
  22. got barca! £25 for two tracks seems overkill but i'm sure discogs goons are selling that shit for way more
  23. so this is decent... honestly not sure how often i'll return to it, but i still enjoyed
