Thanks! I'm really happy to hear that. I almost titled this "The Melancholy Junglist" but i wasn't sure if it was actually melancholy. Maybe my normal output is so melancholy that anything with a shred of hope sounds optimistic to me now? ?

There was actually exactly just enough time to catch 95% of Richard Devine after Soundmurderer. There was a 10 minute gap between Soundmurderer getting shut down and his set. The vibe at Avant Gardner after the place cleared out and people actually started dancing during Soundmurderer was electric. I wish they would have let him keep going.

RDJ wasn't there but we went 'ard. Walking in to the afterparty after the spectacle that was the Aphex set took some getting used to. Ruby My Dear put on one hell of a set but the highlight for me was Hitori Tori who closed out the evening. His set was insane, so much energy, it's too bad it didn't start until nearly 5am and most of the crowd had split. My main takeaway from my trip to NY was to listen to more Hitori Tori.

That seemed to be the sentiment going around, most of the people i spoke with were at a complete loss of words for the experience. Soundmurderer also put on a massive set, anyone who didn't stick around really missed out. I really appreciated that he played last because the place cleared out enough to have plenty of room to dance.

The section at the start is a proper head nodder, with that low end bass groove - like! Enjoy how the mix works, and all the synth sounds in the background & sitting around the drums. Nice one. If it were mine, for the majority of the song I'd keep that bassline how it is in the first minute, and just have a short jam out at the end. No need change it much, just play with the sounds around it & keep the dancefloor going. I really appreciate your feedback, i have done different takes on that song which have gone totally different directions. I'm going to give that a shot and see how it works out! Thanks so much to all of you for listening and for your thoughtful feedback. Most of the credit for that goes to Qebrus, he mastered that track and added some punch and effects to the drums <3 I'm very happy and relieved by what you said about my break chopping, this is my first song using breaks. I was worried that i had no idea what i was doing! I'm using a Digitakt which isn't ideal but breaks are helpful due to it's other limitations. I went with the name "Past Tents" partially because it reminded me of late 90's stuff like the RDJ album and early Mum. I really like your idea about time-conscious sound design, i'm gonna give that a shot. This track is part of a live set i'm writing so i'll be living with it for a while.

I'm hoping someday we will get more releases from this very talented artist, i know they have some unreleased tunes that might make their way out eventually. I know zvλd would like to make more music one day but circumstances have made it so that music can't be a focus right now.
