  1. It has the potential to become a great track for sure. I like the chords and that bassline coming in later is very cool!
  2. Also I don't understand why those new tracks sometimes get praise like it's the sickest shit he's ever done, they're clearly sketches. I think it's great he's uploading these and I'm very thankful for it as it gives us a glimpse into his creative process and that tracks do not sound perfect from the start, no matter who makes them. It's really interesting for producers I would say, but compared to real final releases... I mean just take Syro or Collapse as an example :-)..
  3. No idea who Permasteeze is, but I bought the EP and "MUFFDIVE95" is on repeat, love that track. Nice Electro vibe. There are definitely elements that pretend to be AFX also in the other tracks, but the whole release sounds too linear and digital to me. Richard's tracks are way more dynamic usually.
  4. He played this in one of the Coachella sets I think.

    The Tuss

Let's hope for AFXmas this year!
  6. currently doing the classic zelda marathon with all the games i played :-D. started with "a link to the past", now finished "link's awakening" and will move on to the "oracle of" series (my favs). "the minish cap" to follow! going to replay a lot more classics with my controller on my way to work, gotta love emulators :-)! big game currently is "final fantasy XII - the zodiac age". played the original back then, but never with all the sidequests, now it's time!
  7. Yes I make this mistake all the time, less is really more sometimes. The thing with Aphex is that there's so much going on but it all sounds "necessary", really impressive.
  8. I can see plenty of reasons not to like festivals (sound quality, crowd, overpriced food/drinks etc) but tbh I don't see why you'd care about the lineup ? A 1-day ticket for Rock en Seine is cheaper than the tickets for the Berlin show lol. Anyway, according to their Instagram account they will announce some artists names tomorrow at 6pm (GMT+1) They still sell 1 day tickets for festivals? A lot aren't doing this anymore. My first Aphex gig was 2009 Melt! in Germany, 1 day ticket back then, now they only sell for the whole weekend. I may think about it, but I'm curious if he's playing more Europe shows. If he gets announced eg for Bangface or something like that it would be way more appealing.
  9. yup i think the context is the worst, at least the lineup in berlin was really nice and strictly electronic.
  10. Same. I doubt he'll come to Germany again this year...
  11. https://www.festicket.com/de/magazine/news/aphex-twin-performing-rock-en-seine-2019/ Seems legit?
  12. i think he was just testing around and the track will be available again.
  13. i really like his idea of adding tracks to existing releases. it's like a game where you can put together the album like you want to :-).
  14. not to mention the track is made on the subtle details. I feel you pretty much need headphones to 100% appreciate the track yes like all on the ep, really great what he's doing there. it's like a game: "what do i discover next?"
  15. what i like about abundance is that it has kinda trancey feel to it. trance is like ultra cheesy most of the time, but i like some elements of it and that track is like aphex just taking the elements i like and build something more interesting around it :-).
  16. when the pads kick in in "1st 44" it's like falling into another dimension. minimalistic but yet so huge, love that track!
  17. I don,t understan why everyone is compairing this to drukqs.... To me it sounds nothing like that With you on this. Just listened to drukqs and not putting 2 & 2 together. Bad ears? in some parts it's like he took the drukqs style and improved it even further, track 3 is such an example!
  18. Don't know, I find it very addictive. It's definitely a bit strange and unexpected at first (like all of his stuff), but for me it really works. and it's a new direction. stuff like cheetah and ccai were more for producers actually interested in HOW he did it and that's quite interesting. but i haven't been listening to them in ages. collapse is serious business again, fully polished tracks and interesting all the way, at least to me.
  19. collapse vanished from the main site for me? it's still there but only if you go over "tracks". bonus tracks adding process :-P? haha wishful thinking.
