  1. I loved Syro from the start and still do.... the musicality and playfulness is just amazing, the mixing is sublime, especially on headphones. Masterpiece and an album that actually deserved the grammy.... heck, it should've won album of the year.
  2. yeah, Xmas is a real treat, just one of his epic tracks of lengthy lushness.... love it.
  3. yeah,it really lends itself to repeat listening sessions.Over and over and over. Shame I live sober these days, Syro would be phenomenal on Acid.
  4. this Album has so many layers I think I could spend a Lifetime listening to it and not work them all out.... a masterpiece imho.
  5. they compliment each other, I feel.
  6. both are immense additions to Ricardo's catalogue... love them both!
  7. and so the dump recommences... Richard for President!
  8. thank you for these, good reads. I really wonder whether he did write Top 40 songs and who for.... maybe he was lying, who knows.
  9. well, you never know.... he's probably leading us astray again. Or not.... only he knows.
  10. listening to SC dump... what a treasure trove..... RDJ is god, god is RDJ.
  11. there's definitely audible music in the 45 rpm one....

  14. wow, this is so amazing, when will I listen to all of it...
  15. after copious listening sessions and plenty of time to let it sink in SYRO has become my favourite RDJ Album, head to head with SAW 85-92 and ICBYD.TBH I couldn't really name a favourite one since I love most his stuff, but SYRO is just so.... complete. The brilliant production, the melodies, the variety of sounds and emotions, just the whole package. It's like he's thrown all his previous work and skills in the blender and out came SYRO. It really feels like he's grown up and just enjoys who he is, a musician comfortable in his own skin.Especially the emotions on SYRO, it's like someone wrote: IDM has learned some emotions. I'd agree, the machines have learned to feel. great stuff.
